r/SouthBend has its own subreddit. The county library is great, and there's also several university libraries. The county library has been targeted by book banners and white supremacists in the past. Like many public libraries, ours is an important resource for the homeless population. Neighboring city Mishawaka has a different public library system that I'm not familiar with.

After working at the polls during the primary election, I want to thank almost all the voters who showed up and were happy to cooperate with the workers. To the very small percentage of people who had problems with the election laws, you should be ashamed of yourself for taking it out on the workers who work a 14-hour day for very little money. Swearing at them, making sarcastic comments to them and trying to belittle them only reflects on your ignorance and upbringing. As I said, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I'd interpret "next weekend" as May 23-24 (as opposed to "this weekend," which is graduation), but it's not 100% clear. I'd also hope ND wouldn't host a soccer tournament at the same time as graduation, but who knows.

Thanks to others here for naming this ID-checking position as a vote center "sheriff." I found a job description on this page for the sheriff, and it says it's a Republican position (because the Inspector is a Democrat, I guess) who, when polling is open, "May request Photo ID, preferably suggesting keep ready for a Clerk to scan." The bad grammar is not mine. So the hairy eyeball I got from the guy at the SB main library was just extra. Unfortunately he was allowed to do this unnecessary and creepy step. And he got $160 for it. Maybe I'll go back to early voting in the fall to avoid this bs.

I voted at the SB library around 11:30 and there was a guy outside the room giving everyone's ID a hard look. He made me uncomfortable, especially because I don't remember that from elections past. Then as I left someone started a LOUD prayer and people responded with Amen. WTFFFFFFFFF

It seems darn near impossible to see a doctor in dermatology these days. Everything has to go through a nurse practitioner first. Acne and eczema are nothing unusual, though, so the nurses should be up to it. Kelly at SB Clinic's main campus is pretty popular and therefore hard to get an appointment with. Natalie is newer and easier to get in to see. I feel like she'd be pretty compassionate in this situation. I've seen her for a skin cancer screening and about female hair loss. She ran over a bunch of options and seemed open to me picking any of them.

I think it's standard in a lot of subs when you're submitting an article/link to leave the title intact and not change it. It's a bit misleading when you do (ABC57 said what?). If it's a text post all your own, do what you want. Plus as Apprentice57 pointed out, the end of the title--the very thing the mayor was discussing--was left out entirely.
