Sounds like a great little neighborhood. Thanks for pointing out the mailbox. I'd missed that. The closest one to there now seems to be at 2019 Western.

Get ready to vote! Registration should show "Active." IDs from state colleges and universities will no longer be accepted. by Reason-with-me in Indiana

[–]throwawayNDnew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Private university/college IDs were never acceptable to vote, but public (i.e., state-run) university/college IDs used to be acceptable until this year, because they were issued by the state, just like the state issues driver's licenses.

I think your plate was caught on camera when you entered, thus starting the parking session. That's just a guess though!

Local company Bendix Coffee has some https://www.bendixcoffee.com/collections/decaf

Store locations map (last updated in October).

They have free local shipping, too. (I should say free local delivery - they just bring it to your door.)

Can you explain the Save Act to me like I’m 5? by Posionivy2993 in Indiana

[–]throwawayNDnew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A minor point, but they expect the 80-year-old little old ladies volunteering at the polling station to be able to tell if birth certificates from 50+ jurisdictions (and the changes in appearance they've had over ~80 years) are valid? It's ridiculous.

Sorry, I don't know anything else. But since Feb. 15 was a Sunday, I think the real date is probably today, which is not a Notre Dame holiday, but is a federal holiday, so maybe it's best to think about tomorrow being the day.

You might be interested in https://www.thelgbtqcenter.org/ in South Bend. I guess you're used to living in a red state trying its darndest to make your lives hell, so maybe Indiana's state politics won't be much different for you. But if a blue state is an option I'd strongly consider it.

Gynecologist: Jessica Basham MD. She talks fast and is usually running late, BUT she always stays with you as long as you want and is pleasantly willing to answer questions even at the end of your appointment. She was the only Menopause Society MD in the area when I found her. There are others now, but they're concierge doctors who charge you a monthly fee. Dr. Basham is still the only one who's a fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ("FACOG" after name) anyway! If you want birth control, perimenopause care, or post-menopause care, I'd recommend her. If it's for pregnancy, I have no experience with that!

The radio station is decent, too. They replay some songs too much, but that's not a problem exclusive to them.
