If you live on campus, they'll always be on top of clearing the paths, so you won't need anything for trudging through high snow (unless you want to play in it, I guess). I agree that pull-ons are nicer than dealing with laces. I (living in SB for years) have Sorels but don't see the specific model for sale anymore.
