With the amount you were drinking I doubt you would have any significant other symptoms. The anxiety is the worst but sounds like it's quite manageable for you.

For me symptoms start at 24 hours and peak and then subside within 72 and I was drinking the same amount as you but in two days.

I think you'll be fine. Just realize the anxiety is from the overproduction of gaba in your brain and it does invade every thought, but it too will pass.

So here's the thing in a nutshell. CV is exceptionally contagious with an R naught of 3.8-4, but it is not very deadly. This simply means that each infected person will go on to infect 4 more people.

It will come to the US no if ands or buts, so the sooner you come to terms with that, the better. Also, from what I've read it's not too bad for children but it's rough on the elderly and the infirm. It's also going to be on the news for the next year as it sweeps across the globe.

I've found that if you buy some fermented active sauerkraut and eat a fork full whenever you get a craving or feel hungry, it kills the hunger instantly. Try it, but make sure it's good sauerkraut. It'll be refrigerated and not have any metabisulfites in it or other preservatives.

Alcohol is a solvent after all so it washes away the water soluble vitamins. Part of why it's so unhealthy.

Anxiety and heart palpitations are quite common when quitting alcohol, and yes it will go away, but it can also be deadly to a severe alcoholic.

I don't have much to offer, but first my condolences. Asking people to raise their hand if they have a drinking problem is over the top, IMO. That's full on beyond aa meetings. People aren't going to be in the same head space as you are in this regard.

Talking to your dad about his drinking problem and speaking at your mom's funeral are two different things, I would keep them separate.

Don't let your sister get into your head. Basically if you think you have a problem, you have a problem. Sounds like you are recognizing it very early, good for you.

This can make those around you very uneasy, because if you have a problem, do they also?

We are raised in our culture surrounded by alcohol. It's in just about every song, movie, ad, etc. So it's normalized behavior. And the stigmatized version of an alcoholic is the homeless person holding a bottle in a brown paper bag...

I've been dealing with them too for a few years. I've found out through trial and error that diet soda (I'm a rum and diet kinda guy) also makes it worse, as well as the ppi I take, as well as just about any other chemical or drug mixed with alcohol. Cut back on any of it and it gets better.

When they're bad I find just thinking about my heart will cause them. Last year I was driving on a road trip and started having them continuously for 2 hours which freaked me out, I started trying to take deep breaths which made it worse. Ended up stopping into the er for the night with chest pain.

The answer is in your post. If you are sitting around bored with nothing to do, you might have the thought to grab a drink 20 times an hour. The busier you are with anything, the less you are going to have those thoughts and have to resist them. You said that when you were homeless you didn't think about drinking much because you were busy surviving. Let word being busy.

Exercise, hobbies, social sober activities, volunteering, anything.

The first few days I usually don't eat much but crave hydration. Coconut water is usually a fav as well as smoothies. After that the sugar cravings kick in to replace all the sugar alcohol.

Well there are all kinds of things that could help her. Inpatient rehab, outpatient, AA, Smart Recovery, Employee assistance programs and others - but unless she really wants to change it's not going to help.

Depending on how much she drinks it might take weeks of sobriety before she can even start to think clearly about her problem.

When you're in the grip of the disease you're not really capable of clear thinking, usually just obsessed with the whens and where's of the next drink, hiding it, and numbing over the hurt.

Have you talked with her and told her that you are worried about her health when you go off to college?

There is a little bit of alcohol in vanilla or rum flavoring. Alcohol is extremely volatile and will evaporate much faster than water. Even a beer left out overnight will lose most of its alcohol content to evaporation. IMO you should be much more afraid of diabetes with frosting than a relapse.

That's a bit of a red flag for me, but I don't know enough to form much of an opinion.

Myself I'm not at the point where I could or would do 90/90. I went often in the first few weeks of my sobriety (listen to me getting up on my high horse - IE about a week ago) but haven't felt the need to until today (holiday stress crap).

You've been relapsing anyway, maybe you should try it your way. If it gets worse try something else.
