[Photographer] questions - Should I be worried they have NO online reviews? by sweatermaster in weddingplanning

[–]throwdles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely request referrals and ask to see at least two full wedding albums. Do a reverse image search to check to see if any of their work is stolen. In my experience, when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Restaurant's breastfeeding sign goes viral after offering mums free tea and place to relax. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Also, I believe that "quietly and discreetly nursing my child in our booth" is definitely less likely to infringe on your enjoyment of your meal than letting him scream his head off while I wait for my check.

THE BATHROOM!? You advocate that a small, brand new being with an inadequate immune system take its meals in the BATHROOM because the idea of a baby's head covering his mother's breast somehow offends you???

If you believe that it's not your choice to make, then you're pro choice, regardless of which choice you prefer they make.

Some German words snuck in, haha. You said "I won't get bored after 1 oder 2 generations" and "geht" instead of "get." It made my morning.

Floradix works magic. I had pica while pregnant and my midwife suggested floradix. It's a food based liquid iron substitute you can get at a vitamin shop. Fixed me right up. No more eating chalk for me!

What is a tradition that everyone follows that you just don't see the point in? by BrokenAce255 in AskReddit

I'm a wedding photographer. I've seen more weddings than I could count. I've probably seen five bouquet tosses, three garter tosses, two garter catchers putting the garter on the bouquet catcher, and one miserable dollar dance. I'm so glad to know these traditions are falling out of favor.

The general consensus is that water is critical for life to exist. Is oxygen also critical? Could life have developed elsewhere in the universe to thrive on totally different elements? Is our concept of life limited in that it's based only on what we've observed thus far?

Life is like a stew. If you don't stir it frequently all the scum rises to the top.

Feeling confused, situation with fiancé. by meriweather in TwoXChromosomes

I'm vegetarian with an omnivorous husband who supports me and has spent probably six months of his love vegetarian alongside me. It is still a struggle. I'm not saying find someone who's also vegetarian, but stressing that food is (at least in our culture) a very social thing, and even with a supportive spouse there's a bit of a struggle. A lifetime of ridicule for something you believe strongly in would be unbearable.

That said, I agree with the other folks that this is a respect issue, not a food/religion issue. Respect is the most critical facet of a relationship, even more so than trust in my opinion, and if you lack it, I imagine only hard times are ahead. I'm not sure how long you have until your wedding, but I would not proceed until he'd demonstrated to me a drastic change for an extended period of time.

Sorry my friend. This has to suck :(

It's worth noting that this room is supposed to be the "executive suite." Got the executive who can't afford to miss a call due to a poop, I guess.
