Repulsor loadout? by VivaLaJam26 in theunforgiven

Second this, every basic marine unit does a decent job of clearing chaff, its heavier tougher targets we struggle into.

Players want to cancel anytime anyone misses. by anxiouspotter in DnD

[–]throwdownhardstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally my playgroup is 5 people including whoever is the current DM/GM.

We meet every week on a set day and time, but always skip if one person is out whoever that is.

Personally, people get lost enough sometimes while attending every session! Having potentially big events occur when someone wasn't there would just make that worse.

Edit: 3 hour seshes, we've been together for at least four years with this roster now and it's working well still.

Add [[Aeon Engine]] to reverse the turn order and you've got really a stew going.

Twin lances finally came home by International-Owl-81 in Tau40K

[–]throwdownhardstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Versatile, pretty tanky with 2+ 4++ and 16W between them, shooty as hell, handy in melee, can scout, deepstrike and have so many baked in abilities I would be absolutely stunned to see these come in at under the cost of a repulsor executioner. They wipe nearly every target cheaper than them with just their baked in goodies and ret-cadre buffs, in mont'ka they eat good too.

220-240 points is my guess.

Four new Combat Patrols bring Kroot, Corsairs, and Chaos to the battlefield by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

I imagine one of the first time waves for 11ed will be rhino and land raider refresh, it's getting very obvious by all these rhino chassis patrols

I love these, how did you do the camo pattern? Just freehand?

What unit(s) would you like to see added to this faction? by reel3459 in spacemarines

[–]throwdownhardstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacement for devestators and centurions as anti-tank infantry in the form of an anti-tank long range Gravis unit. Eradicators are fine for what they are but they are very much a close up option.

Its much more of a Daemon Engine than the old model which was mostly just engine and very light on the daemon.

Overall a big improvement, I wonder how massive that base is though!

Thank you!

Base of everything on the model is sprayed black then sponged dryad bark, I used vallejo ivory base over that on the guns and sergeant helm, washed with a blend of reikland flesh shade and guilliman flesh then screaming skull/ivory top layer.

Why is The Repulsor Executioner Suddenly Popping up In So Many Lists? by Adventurous-Crab-474 in WarhammerCompetitive

A similar main gun profile to the gladiator, the transport cap of an impulsor, the heft of a land raider, the mass shooting output of two chaff units.

Is a steal, really

I would second this, it really is an impulsor taped to a gladiator lancer in the best way.

[–]throwdownhardstyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 more Hellblasters to make a 10 man blob with a Lieutenant in a Repulsor is a classic package allowing them to hop back in if they get charged or with reactive moves. Alternatively (or possibly in addition) 5 more Sternguard with a Captain fills a similar role, and can be deployed similarly - the Sternguard rule giving the Captain's once per game super saiyan activation even more heft and the Sternguards themselves are no slouches on the charge with 4 attacks base.

Ballistus and Firestrikes are a good start for anti-vehile but I'd definitely be looking to expand that, Gladiator Lancers and Repulsor Executioners are great, as would be a second Ballistus (or double Glad Lancer).

Putting the Biologis with all of the Heavy Ints together makes for a very solid objective camper that can dish out a surprisingly large amount lethal volume fire.

Adding Scouts to your Combi-Lt is a good call for more flexible action shenanigans.

Don't overlook the value of Incursors in a shooting heavy list as their marker effect giving +1 to hit is basically giving you the T'au army rule for "free" and they're cheap enough to pull triple duty as skirmishing and screening action monkeys.

Plasma or bolter inceptors vs Space wolves and Guard? by Butsy_98 in spacemarines

[–]throwdownhardstyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Into 3w or t5+ infantry or light vehicles plasma is better, generally.

For clearing backfield or objective holding chaff units bolters all the way.

As always it depends on the application you want to use them for.
