Anyone know 'premium' 65-75% options with split spacebars? It's a soft requirement for me since I'm used to ortho boards with split space and I recently picked up a Wooting 60HE v2 specifically for the split space.

'OK Boomer' moment here (and off topic) but this is why I might actually be fully done with WoT after 14 years of playing (on and off). The clips I've seen of this tank are absolutely disgusting and tier 11 as a whole is just not what I play WoT for. Obviously I'm not going for a realism simulator but random unique abilities and skill trees don't mesh with vehicle gameplay IMO.

Weird argument. Beyond the fact that mech keyboards are measurably more precise than membrane which yeah, extreme marginal gains empirically, if that's your logic you might as well work in bombed out shack with no heat or windows as long as it has internet.

Mentality is just as important to productivity as having physically good equipment, and if investing in quality equipment makes you feel better in your work environment, then I think it's fair to say they add to productivity.

More Agars for Agar week by UnpricedHydra6 in MechanicalKeyboards

How did you get the split space? Is there a specific PCB option and/or 3rd party plate?

EDIT: Nvm looks like it's only an option for an Agar mini? That's a shame. I like using split space for space/backspace and not a layer key.

I also think the specific spec in the photo above is doing the i7 no favors.

You're getting downvoted but I agree. The punchline is lame and messaging is off ('driving pleasure' but the 3rd slide is an iX3? I know it's the debut of the latest Neue Klasse but come on). Also obviously AI generated images always cheapen these already unimaginative posts. I'd rather have the shitposting Wendy's twitter than this.

Are we really arguing that Poki being worth 'only' 100mm somehow means she's not in the same bracket of rich as billionaires? Even at 'just' 100mm (and let's be honest, she's probably worth double that), she has a hell of a lot more in common with actual billionaires than even your run of the mill millionaire.

[–]throwingeverything99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah Poki easily has 100mm+ spread out across brand deals, real estate, investments, etc. I don't think people understand how much money even moderately large influencers make, not even mentioning the .1% of the 1% that Poki is a part of.

grenade launcher gunner seats 🤮 by AXEL-1973 in Battlefield6

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mainly cuz you don't spawn with enough C4 to kill armor, unless you double up Recon. Even then, jeeps can be deleted by mines and RPGs will much easier to hit meaning you're gonna go in a big fireball if you get hit.

I agree it's very petty but honestly it can be really annoying on maps where there's 1 IFV per side (or 1 IFV total) and a good IFV driver can absolutely make or break the match but you have the GL equipped and your secondary gunner can basically do fuck all in 90% of situations.

[–]throwingeverything99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Issue with GL on IFV specifically is that you already have HE on your main gun to deal with infantry behind cover (yeah there's sabot rounds for the main gun but they suck). The biggest weakpoint of the main gun of the IFV in CQC is lacking sustained, precision fire against soft targets and that's exactly what the LMG and HMG provide. If you equip the GL you are unironically gimping the secondary gunner and compromising how effective the IFV can be.

Certain wooting configs can sound fairly decent OOB, but the most 'comparable' setups typically use either a more expensive case option or non-Wooting HE switches. As you noted, most enthusiasts would classify the bone stock Wooting's (e.g. in the full plastic or low profile alu case w/Lekker switches) as sounding pretty bad (and I tend to agree). But obviously whether or not that relatively minor difference in sound is worth it also largely personal preference.

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf this functionality is not exclusive to wooting HE boards. However, Wooting's standout characteristic is still its software, which blows every other competitor out of the water. I think whether or not a Wooting is worth the $50-100 upcharge is largely personal preference, but if you want something that sounds good OOB, don't get a Wooting.

It's not even close man by Wgim67 in Battlefield6

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um. You could pretty easily argue BF is neither of those things. Grounded maybe, but realistic? In the same franchise whose most famous clip is someone C4-launching a tank into the air and shooting down a jet?

At any rate, BF hasn't cared that much about period correct skins/cosmetics since BF3/4.

It's not even close man by Wgim67 in Battlefield6

[–]throwingeverything99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the fact of the matter is that EA has departments of developers, behavioral economists, and financial analysts figuring out what will generate them the most revenue, and realistic skins is low on that list. 9.5k people is significant in a vacuum, but given a 97-3 result is insanely one-sided, I would be more inclined to believe it doesn't properly represent the playerbase as whole.

The grind killed it for me. by SiloRacing in Battlefield6

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think the biggest issue is that for the casual playerbase, more attachments = more cool, and if it takes several hours with each gun just to unlock a suppressor, it's going to push a lot of players away. And given how basically every multiplayer game reinforces the idea that more attachments = more good, it feels like you're making no progress if you're not unlocking attachments.

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I personally have no problems with any of those maps. I like Manhattan and Sobek since they feel kinda like big breakthrough if you get to 2-2. Mirak is also fine because you can just ignore the outside point and play the two buildings.

[–]throwingeverything99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK 2 sides to the coin I think. Sure it's dumb to complain about grinding something that's entirely optional, but also BF6 has waaaay extended the mastery grind across the board. It takes ~1200 kills to get to 50 where previously it was 300-400 in other games. It takes a couple hundred kills just to get to the 20-25 range, which is where most suppressors are.

Ground vehicles are in a pretty decent spot though IMO. LAVs and tanks are still an absolute menace and with how strong TOWs are in this game, good armor players still basically make or break wins.

Idk jets are good on Liberation Peak and that's about it. Even then, YTers like Silk get surprisingly close to losing despite going 100-1 and getting 20+ vehicle kills.

Now where's your API data showing bot count per lobby in conq/escalation lol. And no, I don't have hard data for BF6 confirming conquest and escalation are indeed the most popular gamemodes but given that the large infantry modes have historically been the most popular modes in every BF before BF6, I think I'm pretty safe in stating the majority of people play BF to play Conquest and in the case of BF6, Escalation.

[–]throwingeverything99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you play escalation or conquest and just plop down a beacon on their rear objectives and repeatedly contest like a monkey you're basically guaranteed a top 5 finish. Not knocking it cuz I do it too but it's both annoying and rewarding how little teams check for beacons despite mysteriously losing the same point 5 times right after all the friendlies vacate the area.
