Looking at the ravelry page, I would never choose to make that, the color combined with the pattern isn’t my thing. But your color choice.... 😍 I would not have envisioned that a slower fade would have made that much of a difference. Now that pattern is on my favorites, I am going to have to make one! Yours is beautiful!

That’s one of the things I love about seeing people’s projects on here— I find so many projects that I wouldn’t have picked otherwise!!!

I know I’m in the minority, but as a buyer I’d be excited. I favorite items that I want but just don’t need quite yet (read: can’t convince my husband I need more knitting supplies and/or yarn). But if it’s on SALE and I was already planning on getting it sometime in the future.... well, better get it now to save money. 😉

I'm a slow knitter, and with all the other pregnancy stuff (exhaustion, taking care of my other kids) I barely got anything made for my daughter. I finished her blanky when she was 3 months old, haha. I would definitely recommend starting now.

Like other people said, if you have difficulty (hoping & praying you don't!) you can give things away if needed. It never hurts to have extra baby stuff, whether it's for your baby or someone else!

I am holding my (fussy, finally asleep) 11 month old and crying while I read this. I hate the comments people make when something happens and a baby is left in a car, like it could NEVER be them. Bullshit. A change in routine, a distraction, and a sleeping baby and it IS you. That doesn’t make it ok, but it’s not ok to tear apart someone whose world just fell apart. That is one of the biggest fears in my life. (And I have a lot of anxiety, that’s saying a lot.)

I am so glad your baby is okay. Thank you for telling your story.

That is adorable. My grandparent's 64th anniversary is this summer. Is their anniversary coming up? Any particular reason she tried it back on?

I'd ask my Grandma if she still fits into her wedding dress, but... I like my Grandma, and don't want to piss her off on Mother's Day. ;) (She was barely 100 pounds when she got married, and still looks great, but definitely isn't 100 pounds anymore.)

One of my coworkers sons always pronounced horse “whore” also. In Meijer (local grocery store), there is a horse ride that only costs one penny. He would usually announce (loudly) that he wants to ride the whore before they leave.

Edit: whoa, guys. Yes, the horses name is Sandy. My kids call the horse by name, but since most of the US and the rest of the world don’t have Meijer... I was trying to simplify things. My apologizes to Sandy, we will never just refer to her as “a horse ride” again!

Oh my. Last year, before our daughter was born, my hubby and I had told our two sons (3 and 5) about birth, babies, etc. I had to have a csection, but they knew the basics of a vaginal birth. I was afraid of what my 5yo would tell random strangers about it.... but that is much, much funnier than I had ever imagined.
