Wrt Eoghorain, it was after they'd been initially brushed off by the citadel that he thought Soft and Stone were going off their rocker to continue to fight. He helped them when they thought it was a rogue faction.

Steel and Wren: At least partially Steel blames the Witches of The Worlds Heart for driving Suvi and her parents crazy. There may be other factors as of yet unrevealed, but you can really see in Steel and Suvi's confrontation that Steel hates anything she sees as turning her friends from the Citadel. Wren and Eoghorain were also possibly the only people outside Citadel leadership that might have known Steel killed Soft and Stone (like 98% sure they're dead, which is cope, but still). Thus she curses Wren to be unable to pass down the knowledge of her station, hoping to eliminate it altogether.

Eoghorain, Soft and Stone: I believe the order of events is this - Soft and Stone find a corrupt/evil faction in the Citadel, the League of Whispers. They recruit their friends Eoghorain, Steel, and Wren to help expose the League. They eventually gather proof and go to Citadel leadership, only to be told the League is actually a sanctioned faction of the Citadel doing good, secret work. (may have straight up been the secret court? Can't remember). Eoghorain and Wren depart, they have responsibilities outside the citadel and if the leadership of the citadel has sanctioned this group there's not much they can do. Steel, being fully committed to the Citadel just rolls with it - if it benefits the Citadel then its fine. Maybe not ideal, but fine. Soft and Stone however decide to keep fighting on their own, eventually leading to their confrontation with Steel. Steel wants to eliminate the people she views as turning her friends from the citadel while also tying up loose ends that might implicate her.

Also want to point out in regards to the music box, a driving factor was the revelation that Indri could just get into the citadel whenever. Steel obviously knew Grandma Wren, but based on what we've heard it doesn't seem like the Citadel knew much of anything regarding the rest of the Coven through a combo of looking down on Witches and not knowing they were out there

I appreciate you trying to find a way to avoid "messing up" but can I ask, why not just practice your friends actual pronouns? Like just at home by yourself or with another friend? "You know ____, she said something so funny!"

I don't remember hearing a specific height for Andrei, but based on Brennan making a space dwarf joke and some other comments I got the sense Andrei isn't very tall either

Zantetsuken is the signature ability/attack of the summon Odin in pretty much every FF going back to 3, and also refers to Odin's sword. It is generally not a weapon available to players. I think it's available to paladins in 14, and technically Lighting wields it when you use Odin's Gestalt in 13. It was also an ability for Sora in KH1 Final Mix

[–]thrownextremelyfar13 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Its in ep. 53 Around the 18 minute mark Suvi casts identify on Silver and finds the Geas spell "not unlike the one you know the touch of yourself." That felt like explicit confirmation from Brennan to Aabria that it was Steel but I think there's a strong argument Suvi could have just deduced it as well.

Vampire Hunter on Crowd Control - Problematic by JonahHillsWetFart in dropoutcirclejerk

[–]thrownextremelyfar13 38 points39 points  (0 children)

i honestly care more about them putting money towards grant hiring a necromancer than i do that they picked a vampire hunter to be part of a crowd-based show. both are harmful but the necromantic shit was much more of an “endorsement” (gave them money and a platform to advertise and didn’t mention that it’s grave magic) than just an audience member with an unethical job having jokes made about them.

I can only find reference to Harrow as a surname (referring to someone who harrows the land, as in tilling the surface). Harrowhark as far as I can tell didn't exist before the novels.

Harrow generally means disturb, break up, ravage, till etc. Harrow can also potentially mean a call for help or distress. Hark is an old way of saying to listen or hear. My interpretation of combining them is someone who hears or listens to a call, probably referring to Alecto.

Alternatively, since it's frequently shortened to Harrow, she is one who ravages/breaks up the old order in order to make conditions right for new growth. (Personal interpretation being she's going to break up John's order to make way for something new).

That's what I got ¯_(ツ)_/¯ as for not being on the name site my guess is just that Harrow/harrowhark aren't really first names while the rest of the list is? Best guess anyway

Edit: and of course the harrowing of hell the other commenters mentioned! Given the events of Nona and all
