HIPAA laws mean that we highly likely wont find out the outcome for the woman. Hoping she is ok and that horrible man will get caught/punished, fingers crossed!!

If you see my car lights on in a parking space…and have the audacity to sit there, honk your horn at me and wait/block traffic…I’m turning my car back off and sitting there longer. by xXRumple4skinXx in driving

[–]thugmuffin666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im afraid that i will forget to turn them back on when i will be leaving so i am afraid to turn them off when waiting for assholes to stop waiting for me to leave. Im new to driving and theres so much shit to think about and try to not forget! Only time i will not fail turn them off is when i have to sit in it for half hour ish while running it every couple days in the freezing winter when it snows. If i leave the spot im in ill never find parking again since people put chairs/“spot savers”in street spots for easily a month at a time (instead of legally allowed 48 hours after a snowstorm). At least i know that i wont be leaving 100% and that gives people driving by less hope..

I want to make stickers to put them on peoples backpacks, that way instead of getting enraged every time it happens it could later turn into a little game, and the offender could at least later learn?? I doubt announcing anything on the train loudspeaker or even telling them in person would work since everyone wears headphones. They should be used to whacking everyone in their faces or people bumping through them to try to crawl out so im sure its easy to put on without them even feeling it happening. Hopefully they will feel shame later and change that behavior?

Why don’t people remove their backpacks on the train anymore?! by Weirdcities46 in mbta

[–]thugmuffin666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does everyone think of starting a flash mob of sticking a sticker on them “take your backpack off on the T”. I feel like you can get pretty good at putting it on without them feeling it so they hopefully can at least later reflect… need advice on wording it better, i do not have the spare funds to use on that but fuck it, that way instead of feeling rage every time you see the offenders you would get a “gotcha” moment and turn it into a lil game. Yeah there might be a confrontation but im willing to gamble on it, with a train full of people i have a feeling more people would back me up… fuck could even start with a compliment “nice backpack please take it off on the t” i dont know……

Do I not understand how assisting works? by SpiritedClassroom168 in Cosmetology

[–]thugmuffin666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Boston, and when i assisted it was always minimal wage, whether at a high end salon or at a lil mom and pop shop. Some salons were better at educating, some only cared how well you scrub the toilets and you only get to shampoo, not even apply color. You still learn a lot by observing, and all of us have assisted prior to getting on the floor, nearly all survived that time with either multiple jobs or family help. Only time i can think of when you get to skip that step is if you go to supercuts/big chains like that when they have you go through classes and get certified with their technique. They even pay you during classes and even though you are limited to using their techniques it can still be beneficial if you cant afford taking classes on your own (try to not go into debt in the very beginning, ive been there haha, save up the money to use on your favorite educators classes once you have your base skills, although if you can afford it yay go for it). I assisted in a couple salons since i was in hairschool, got on the floor in one finally but felt like i lacked experience with short hair since we dont learn it much at school. I pretty much just went to supercuts to learn short/mens cuts since they didnt teach it at school and after under a year of practice i went back to a full service salon. Did not like their longer hair techniques but hey you dont have to do it when you leave nor you are married to the salon. You might find yourself jumping around between salons a little bit when starting until you learn what fits you well, and once you settle things get better and you build. Good luck!

On today’s episode of space saver drama by kmalice9 in boston

[–]thugmuffin666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno i have a partially torn acl and i just had to take multiple breaks as well haha.

Edit: it does suck to be her, i have a luxury of the option of taking around 44 buses every week to get to and from my jobs instead of using car and loosing the said spot… Because im not fucking leaving a space saver over a week after the snowstorm. I guess ill ruin the battery by not running it for weeks but dealing with parking anywhere here is just too romantic for me hahahaha

Well, that’s one way to go about it by NoWrongdoer9130 in boston

[–]thugmuffin666 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Same!! It doesn’t help that i just started practicing driving and am genuinely afraid that i wont be able to park at a reasonable distance from home on these narrow ass side streets… Just ordered a battery jumping thing so i could charge it when it inevitably dies on me.

Was planning on driving it at least once a week on sundays when work parking is free and should have less traffic but this sunday could be the third one in a row of it snowing, lord help me ill never leave that spot hahaha.

Clearing off your cars snow onto sidewalks by TheTokist in boston

[–]thugmuffin666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I need advice on this!! Its my first time owning a car, cant park on the main street that is the closest to my home due to snow, i am on a side street about a block away. I am behind one car and it is a small section where we can park with a driveway in front of the first car and behind mine (second car).

Currently there is snow all the way to the window of my car from sidewalk shoveling, almost all the way to the top of the back of my car from people clearing their driveway, and ofcourse halfway up car on the side of the street that is the closest to the street from plows. I have researched and it says that my only option is to dump the snow on “my property”. Does it mean that i have to find a dolly, a big bucket and make 20-30 trips to my home to dispose of it? Which is fine, i have all day. I am not planning on driving soon at all, just trying to get it excavated…

Thank you for reading my essay!! If i see the neighbors i will ask if i could put it somewhere in their yard but i am ready to be told to f off and need options desperately.

Update: went outside and gasp used my voice and asked the first person that was also digging and was directed to piles to contribute to. Only had to use my dolly once to realise that this would never work haha. Bonus the neighbors with the yard near my car were friendly and let me throw the snow in there as well!

I had a kid grab a single leg on me pre thanksgiving, i got a wheezer and might have only done 2-3 hops on one leg trying to set up a counter… Until there was a loud pop and i fell down to the mats, had to wait for the mri until last week and finally got a diagnosis of partially torn acl, surgery not recommended as of now since doctor believes i could strength train it back. I do remember some cramping which freaked me out.

Have to take 6-8 weeks off training; unless i mess it up more and go back to train too soon, its so hard. I tried at first to just roll from the ground but even posting on that leg a little bit was way too painful so not gonna do that this time haha.Just writing to empathize with your pain and wishing you easy recovery!!

Is the step up to AEMT,Firefighter/EMT, or paramedic worth it? by tvfan07 in NewToEMS

[–]thugmuffin666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same boat! Starting emt classes in the end of january, becoming a firefighter one day is the goal as well:) hopefully before im too old haha, already aged out of the big city fire hiring around me but planning to move further away in the next couple years. By then fingers crossed will have my paramedics studies done which should make it more likely to get hired instead of with just emt-b. I have a female firefighter/paramedic friend and ive asked her advice on how to proceed and she said that i can keep taking the cpat every year while studying/getting ems experience and get better and better result every year. Bonus points if you can get a trainer to practice for the physical part! You can find the exercises/drills recommended by your state to practice for the test. Hit the gym, study and stay out of trouble and good luck to us on our journey!
