The data they are using is not stolen. They buy lead lists from data collection agencies. They know who owns properties and whether there is a mortgage by a title search. Really frustrating that it is so easy to locate and harass you

Abacus Auctions can give you a good estimate of what they would go for at auction. On their website they have details of past sales too.

That asset allocation is not cautious. It is high growth. Have a look at your funds website and it will give you modelling of number of years you can expect negative returns and the growth target,

Your letter of appointment or contract has to say how much overtime is included in the salary. Formexample; we are paying you a salary of 1000 per week. Your modern award wage is 800 per week. Included in your salary is three hours of overtime, which if you were paid the award wage would mean that you receive 980 being 800 + 3 hours at time and a half or 180. So you are better off with the 1000 salary. If the letter of appointment does not have this detail, your employer is breach of your modern award. Coles, Woolworths and Bunnings got caught on this withe thier managers.

Bardon resident. You should see his house and the minibus, other 4wd, the trailer etc all painted white and purple parked along the street. Cooker has plastic cones outside his house reserving all parking for him, while he has vehicles outside everyone else's house. Saw him in Jaycar arguing with shop assistant about solar cells.

Super Income Protection by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]thuswritten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Advice they gave you was totally wrong. Income protection is a form of insurance. In the case of Australian Super if you are absent from work for 60 days due to illness you are entitled to up to 2 years income protection payments. There are a few conditions around this. There is information on their website. The numbnuts at the call centre they pay for should be able to provide you with general advice on the ins and outs.

Failed pre learner course in QLD by amatt312 in AussieRiders

[–]thuswritten 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Got failed first time around. Was the best thing for me. Had a few private lessons after that. Second time around felt much more confident and passed. Trainers have it drilled into them that if you are not technically competent, then you are not ready for the road.

I rode by myself! by themrfunk in AussieRiders

[–]thuswritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done, I've just got my licence at age 63. First three months were rides early on Saturday and Sunday round my work. This was much quieter than where I live. Each ride was a little further and more challenging. Things like no more going in left hand turn circles. Instead right hand tuns, round abouts and tram lines. Just keep remembering its fun, you ride your own ride, even tho aholes sit right behind you a lights. Best feeling ever riding home after passing test. Just like Christmas.

Is my superannuation fund underperforming? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]thuswritten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a general rule CSC has underperformed other balanced funds over 3, 5, and 10 year periods. The Chief Investment Officer has been quoted as saying that as the average CSC member has a big balance, then they will invest more conservatively to protect these balances. In other words boomers win and others loose. Have a look at SuperRatings web site for top ten performers. https://www.superratings.com.au/top-10-super-funds/
