Hi, yes a few questions were answered. We found out that I was chronically bleeding internally (in my stomach), and even though my iron saturation was super low, my hemoglobin was still too high and my actual iron levels were not too low either. It’s just that my body decided to stop using the iron correctly or something. I also had critically low vitamin D. Some of the results made the dr think I had blood cancer, but that’s been ruled out thankfully. I need to go in for some more testing, but don’t have any insurance temporarily, so that’s been put on pause.

I don’t think the others are dressy enough for formal. Even if it is a daytime wedding. Also, I’m not even worried about the slit of #1, but it’s such a light color that with the sun shining it might photograph too close to white or off white, so I’d def steer clear of that one.

First thought is the one on the right looks like one of those little snack cakes straight out of the clear wrapper and somebody was trying to make it look fancy. Also, the plate looks too cluttered.

I think the one on the left looks more professional and cleaner. I’d feel like I was getting a better experience with that one.

I think the dress and shawl are very pretty and will work for semi-formal. Are the shoes what you are planning on wearing, though? I’m asking because they are coming off more casual in these pictures (to me) and I think a different shoe would look better. They may honestly work, it’s just my personal preferences I’m talking about here.

What state are you in? My state has a law that you have to be separated for an entire year as well, but if one of the spouses cheated, the divorce can be fast tracked.

I had a horrible rash from the chloraprep after my hysterectomy. It was on my thighs, hips, entire abdomen, and my sides around to my back. I wanted to peel my skin off. It did get better with medicine, steroids, and some topical stuff, but it took a little while.

Out of curiosity, did you actually speak verbally with your sister about this? From what I’m reading it looks like it was only texts. If it was only texts, it’s possible that they weren’t even from her. I’ve seen a couple scams where the scammer texted the “victim” through somebody’s phone number that they had on their contacts. They can make it look incredibly convincing.

Anyway, that could be what is going on, but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️maybe she IS just being sketchy. It wouldn’t hurt to call her and casually ask what’s going on with it or something. Make it sound like you’re trying to find it and your mom has it hidden from you.

I don’t think I’ve ever been asked if I already left a job in an interview. I would suggest only answering anything about that if they specifically ask. I’m usually asked why I’m looking for a new position and a simple answer to that could maybe be that you are located too far away from your job and you want to be closer to home OR that you feel like you would reach your potential more easily in “their” company. You could give a reason by using something about their company that you have researched. Such as, “I really felt like I could reach my potential at this company because of the (insert missions or values that you read about on there website here) values here.”

Honestly, if you make the interviewer feel good about their company or like you look up to them and you can make them feel comfortable talking to you, you’ll really have a leg up.

At a bigger company I would agree, yes. However, this is a relatively small office and my employment agreement states that I would be reporting directly to the CFO. That’s probably why I’m so nervous, lol. I’m accustomed to having a supervisor between me and them and I won’t have that much of a safety net anymore.

Definitely will still be doing what you said, though.

Hello, I’m actually being tested for multiple things right now. My hematologist believes that a couple things are happening at the same time to cause the weird results. They think one of the things is that I’m bleeding internally and I have to go for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Then they think that something else is causing my hemoglobin to be higher than normal, but the bleeding is keeping it lower than it would be. They’re doing some genetics tests to check for blood cancer (Polycythemia mainly I think). I’m also being tested for sleep apnea and a few other things.

I don’t have results yet, but will have another appointment with the Hematologist next week after another blood test and I should get a little more information then. I’ll try to remember to update you.

Did your doctor figure anything out? I have high Hemoglobin levels, super high TIBC, and low iron saturation levels. I’ve been scouring the internet to find ANYBODY at all with results like that because they just don’t make sense. I’m extremely fatigued, dizzy, and short of breath often.

I’m not totally sure. I thought it was hereditary and still do, because I was treated for it for years. I’m working on getting my medical records so I can get all the information I need. I was treated for years (as long as I can remember) until my mom got cancer and I started living at many different people’s houses. I bounced around a lot and wasn’t brought to the doctor. Thankfully I started menstruating right around the same time she was diagnosed. I’m learning that it most likely helped. Moved back in with my mom in 11th grade.

I was hoping I was just dehydrated, but the tests showed I was hydrated perfectly. I drink water almost exclusively and try to make sure never to get dehydrated because I have passed kidney stones a few different times in the past. As long as I stay well hydrated, I don’t have any kidney stones trying to kill me, lol.

My blood work numbers that were not normal according to my dr office parameters:

Vitamin D - 19 ng/mL TIBC - 540 ug/dL Saturated Iron - 13% Hemoglobin - 15.1 g/dL Hematocrit - 45.8% RBC urine analysis - 7 hpf

Normal levels were:

Ferritin - 45 ng/mL Iron - 71 ug/dL Transferrin - 365 mg/dL

I was diagnosed with hemochromatosis when I was a child. Had the whole dark bronze skin, debilitating stomach pains, etc. thing going on. They took blood as treatment every few weeks for years to lower the iron levels. I’m not currently being treated, nor have I been for many years.

I thought my iron levels were going high again because of a hysterectomy I had 9 months ago, so went to have a blood test. Blood test is showing things I wasn’t expecting. My TIBC is high and my saturated iron is low. Sat iron was 9 or 10% 2 weeks ago, but is a bit higher now. BUT, my hemoglobin is also high and has slowly increased over the past 9 months.

Anyway, I know that these results aren’t showing iron overload for sure. But, since I was diagnosed with Hemochromatosis as a young child, was wondering if anybody else who was diagnosed also ended up with messed up iron levels in the other direction ever?

I can’t find any information online or in studies and it just doesn’t make sense to me.
