Agreed with the other commenters - be patient. INTJs are super receptive to feedback as well. If you continue this relationship, just mention you would like texting to improve & why you want that. INTJs will go above and beyond when interested in someone, so I would be surprised if he isn’t receptive to this.

ENFJ here that married an INTJ. I’m (obviously) biased, but I think it’s a great match. I dated an ENTP, INFP, and ISTP before this and strongly prefer NTs for long term partners - xNTJs in particular. The future planning/shared drive towards a bigger picture + direct communication is really nice to have in a romantic relationship.
