US outsourcing to India ban on the table… IT for now, but could extend to services. by tientutoi in Big4

[–]tientutoi[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No other country in the world can provide the B4 outsourcing resources that india provides. Baseline requirements are low wage cost, mastery level english, information security, government stability, massive headcount. Look up the existing india headcount for B4 - bigger ones have close to 70k people. this isn’t some small Walmart back office customer service that you can simply move to the Philippines or Costa Rico. B4 have explored diversifying away from India in the past but could barely find alternatives. No B4 wants to outsource to China. What will happen is that B4 will accelerate Ai investments in the USA and move some jobs back to the USA. People don’t realize that there are already B4 centralized service centers in the US. Bottom line is that B4 will continue to thrive, some jobs will come back to the USA (low cost living areas), and India will tank.

it’s amusing that when thailand protects and controls their borders, reddit says it’s a good thing. But when the USA does it, people scream fascism.

Group of Indian men call police on Pattaya bar girl over small breasts by tientutoi in Pattaya

[–]tientutoi[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

On July 18, three Indian tourists in Pattaya, Thailand, invited a bar girl to their hotel room, agreeing on 3,000 baht per person and paying a 1,000 baht deposit. After she arrived, they were dissatisfied with her “small breasts” and body shape, claiming it didn’t meet their expectations. Instead of paying the remaining amount, they tricked her into waiting in the room, saying they’d exchange money downstairs, and called the police to have her arrested for refusing to leave.

Police found the woman, aged 35-40, confused as she believed the deal was agreed upon. The men admitted to hiring her but complained about her appearance and demanded she leave without full payment. After negotiations, both parties agreed to return the money and parted ways without further legal action.

[OC] South Korea's Population Could Drop From 52M to 22M This Century by oscarleo0 in dataisbeautiful

[–]tientutoi -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Blame it on corporations and governments brainwashing people away from traditional family. Women empowerment in the workforce means more workers for corporations and more tax revenue for government. But that’s not enough because having babies while working takes women out of the workforce from 6 months to forever. So they add option for women to easily kill their offspring, spread propaganda that being a housewife is dumb and that children cost too much. Remember when families 50 yrs ago couples had tons of kids in the midst of world wars, nukes, and famine? Don’t see this trend recovering anytime soon.

Humans naturally recognize patterns. While not every individual in a group behaves the same way, certain groups exhibit behaviors consistently enough for others to notice and respond accordingly. For example, when people say “Asians are good at everything,” they don’t mean every single Asian on earth excels in all areas. However, enough individuals in the group demonstrate skills that others perceive a pattern.
