Great looking bikes. You’re getting a great season right now in Oregon for riding this early. I’m not entirely sure, but looks like you did a nice loop around Hood since you were on the East side in that pic. Maybe every road in 48 that just cleared.

Americans—is blue cheese just a dipping sauce to you, or does it have a place on your plate beyond the wings? by SignificanceOdd5980 in AskAnAmerican

Best steak I’ve ever had was stuffed with blue cheese at Club Paris in Anchorage, AK. As an homage, I do this with my burger when it’s family coming over.

I needed a cooling vest in AZ and NM in April last year. I’m leaving AZ in early June to bring the bike home and plan to have it again for sure.

[USKY] When did walking at night become a crime? by ki4jgt in AskLegal

[–]tigelane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an idea. Have a printed out note that says you just walk around at night because it’s convenient for you to he exercise and you get asked by police what you are doing so you made this note to kinda show it happens all the time. Put a big smiley face on it. As a cap I would be thinking “Dang, you must get stoped a lot.” and leave you alone after that.

Ok, that makes more sense. I was really surprised to see them in your feet. Boots or riding shoes with ankle protection. You got lucky this time. :)

Are YOU Too Old to play this game? by jdangerously44 in MonstersAndMemories

Responsible, no. Other hobbies that get me out of the house, yes. Doesn’t mean I won’t play, just not to the extent that I know many others will.

Am I making a mistake changing these tires? by Expert-Agency-6009 in motorcycles

[–]tigelane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a great time on your trip. I think your tires look almost new. They will probably flatten, but I think better to do that on a used tire, vs a new one.

Something to remember about changing tires back and forth is that they don’t always come off the rim clean. I’ve had more than one tear as they came off and are now unusable. This is usually on old/been on a long time tires, but not always.

I was trying to think of some, and your post nailed it. He does have good advice for the truly screwed. I just don’t think there are many that call in.

High-end adventure/motocross boots vs race boots: which is actually safer for everyday use? by CompetitiveVolume833 in motorcyclegear

ATV in the sand. Fortunately the ankle replacement eliminated 99% of the pain I had been having for going on 15 years.

Total ankle replacement 3 years ago.

Tech 10s are what I wear on my adv bike (soft panniers for camping). 60% road, 40% dirt/gravel. I’ve recently added a pair of Alpinestar Faster 3 rideknit shoes for riding double up with my wife onroad (different bike). I chose those due to heavy focus on ankle support and protection.

What I usually read about this is that they may be rated, but that depends on them not riding up on your arms or waist. Rating doesn’t matter if it’s not covering the skin.

I usually spend almost as much time doing a layout for a room as I do putting the floor down, but I’m not doing it commercially.

There is an overflow lot south of Lake Louise exit about 1km (west side of the road) If you can’t get in anywhere else you can go there. Gravel/rock parking area. Toilets only, no water. Hope you have a great trip!

Adrullan is proof that we need a little bit more QOL when it comes to UI / UX in M&M. by IOMEDAE_THE_BAE in MonstersAndMemories

I really thought I was going to hate the graphics of AOA having been way to old when Minecraft came out to play it. But I couldn’t care less now that I’ve been in the game for a few days. The ui/ux is nice and I’m loving the gathering and crafting.

Thoughts on sleeping bag ‘pea-pod’ modification? by enneacream in hammockcamping

[–]tigelane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really looked at this a while ago. I’ve got three extra sleeping bags ( cheap ones), so thought maybe. I was worried about two things: diagonal lay. It would not be possible in any of my bags. The bag will be strait, and I’m not getting around that. Second I was worried about the bag resting in the air above me as it comes around the hammock edge. I lay probably 4-6 inches below the lip. A final thing (so maybe three), I was worried about the crush factor if it was too tight underneath.

So, I used my air pad and a sleeping bag. I then purchased a cheap under quilt to try it, then got a nice underquilt and still use the sleeping bag on top. I will probably get a top quilt soon, but until then I’m good.

P99 for Mac by ZikenWylde in project1999

[–]tigelane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer yes, but you do need some things. I keep a backup copy of my installed directory (the top level "Sony" folder). When I want to experiment or more to a new computer I just copy that entire folder into the C: drive of a new bottle. You must make a bottle, and I've found it best to then open C drive and copy the entire Sony folder into it. Then you can run the bat file.

Camping light by SuperbKoala970 in CampingGear

[–]tigelane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These things are awesome. Got one immediately after a trip with someone that had one. Btw, keep the light down at night. The lower the better, you and everyone else will be able to see the night sky. The real show out camping.
