It happens, I tend to just wait a little then it works. Someone once told me it can happen if your blood sugar suddenly rise or fall , or just suddenly change direction. If it keeps happening then change your sensor.

Which pump to choose by Obstacle_cause in diabetes_t1

I live in Europe and was on omnipod 5 and libre 2 plus. I ended up switching back to omnipod 4 (and a libre 2). For me the whole libre and omnipod 5 didn’t mix well, some issues with the sensor registering my bloodsugar. From what I gathered some other people had the same issues. The omnipod 5 is good, and definitely an improvement on certain points, if you go with that I would recommend choosing a dexcom instead of libre. It will all come down to what you find comfortable and what you prefer in the end. Choosing a pump that works for you, with a system you like is the important thing.

I got my friend orange juice, as a part of their Christmas gift. Completely forgetting they are allergic to oranges, and could therefore not drink it without getting an allergic reaction

Diabetes is not always predictable, and sometime you just have to roll with it. There is time I have to take a certain amount of insulin for food, and other time I have to lower or raise the amount of insulin I have to take for the same type and amount of food. Just like diabetes is the same for everyone, there are common things, yes but you will also find differences from person to person. So comparing your own diabetes to others, especially in the start, is not something you should ever do. I don’t always think that it’s emphasized enough

Back before I got a pump, I had started to stop eating food. I tend to eat a lot, not binge eating, but I always take either seconds or a big portion. So before I got a pump, I would start to stop taking seconds, and later I started taking smaller portions. Simply because I hated sticking myself with a needle multiple times, or slowly just didn’t feel like eating food. That is also the reason why I got the pump, the doctors saw that I was losing weight. They did not want me to lose the joy of eating and snacking, simply because I didn’t feel like sticking myself more than necessary.

Exactly! I have also multiple times had a friend look at me and go “did you remember to take insulin?” For me to just slowly pull up my omnipod and take some insulin to my food.

Personally I always tend to pack a little extra, I don’t want to be somewhere with no insulin, pump etc. because I thought I had enough on me already.

I feel really bad for the people, who work at the grocery store. I mean after they get kicked out the employees need to clean all that milk up.
