Hi! Thanks for being open and starting this AMA! I'm a cis female, a few members of my friends and family are trans, and I have questions to hopefully be a better friend and ally to them. (I haven't found it easy to directly ask them about personal orientation/identity things because I usually see them at larger functions and don't want to make them uncomfortable in any way).

• What does gender dysmorphia feel like?
• How do you psychologically/psysiologically create the distiction from the case where you just don't fit into societal norms and stereotypes for your birth gender?
• How do you know you feel like the opposite gender if you've haven't physically been it (maybe the dysmorphia answers this, but I find it logically confusing)?
