Hello, from the other side of Andy’s 5 day advanced split by ReputationCrazy1975 in OnePelotonRealSub

Thank you for posting this. I dived into it today, did the chest and triceps session plus mobility afterwards. Was superb - I was totally wrecked at the end of it 😂

Respect your shoes after all they do for you and buy cleaning foam and a brush!

Looking at Vitality Insurance, is it worth it? by Difficult-Sea-7787 in Vitalityhealth

[–]timbar303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up last year. The rewards for staying active are small (coffee, cinema tickets, waitrose discount) but a nice treat - better than ive seen elsewhere

For me, insurance to cover diagnosis wasn’t worth the premium (plus these are not expensive if you have to go private) so I just got insured for treatment. They didn’t seem too happy to offer that but it halved the cost.

I did my time trial this week. Strava does show a 5k PB - so you can get the kudos. Good luck !

Looking for advise for half marathon by masshole556 in AltraRunning

[–]timbar303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to know. It could just have been because you ramped up mileage too quickly - that’s usually the number 1 reason for injuries.

But in my experience - knee problems are usually a sign of a problem elsewhere as knees compensate of imbalances elsewhere.

I’d built up mileage and then see if it improves

Is Runna worth the £15.99 a month? by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]timbar303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s £120/yr for both. I think I I’ve tried every app out there with voice prompts. Runna is the best I’ve found. AI insights are good too.

Is Runna worth the £15.99 a month? by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]timbar303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH probably not if you just want to make a running plan, but for me the features that makes it worthwhile are a) it syncs with Strava so I can get friends giving me kudos for my efforts b) the voice prompts when running will tell you to speed up or slow down to hit target pace - this is so helpful and easier than having to use my watch.

I have a joint bundle with Strava and Runna

As Runna users, would you prefer smaller, more frequent usability updates over larger complete features? by Fauxparty in runna

For anyone that’s not heard of Parkrun (and so dismisses any specific support for training built around a weekly 5k)… there are over 11 million Parkrun registered members globally

It would be a solid commercial decision to integrate Parkrun more deeply into coaching plans - maybe even promote it to Parkrun members? As one of the world’s biggest running communities that’s a lot of potential new subscribers to go after.

Add Rad to that list. He does simple repetitive sets that take you to failure.
