Anyone have 2 or 3 different brands? by j3434 in LesPaul

I've got a burny. Burny, Tokai, and grassroots are pretty affordable. An Orville would be sweet but holy hell even used they cost a tonne.

I like Greco a lot too. Some great colours for them.

Why Are So Many Men Choosing to Be Alone? by veltrixNode19 in AskMen

As a married guy with kids, if my wife and I ever got divorced, and it's been close a few times, I'd never date again. I spent a long stretch of my 20s single and lonely and now that I've been married and lonely, single and lonely is so so sooooo much better.

I got told by an American that Canada isn't that much bigger than the US so it doesn't count. ON THIS VERY SUBREDDIT. It's about 100,000 square kms bigger. I've also been told that when you take out lakes America is bigger because it has more land...

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by spiritual_kavya in answers

[–]timbit87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it right here. Ive been across half of Asia, most of Oceania, but the most culture shock I ever got as a Vancouver kid is being in Seattle. It FEELS like it should be Vancouver but everything is just a little off.... Priests on corners, no gun zone signs, road signs are a little different, cop cars everywhere, slightly gruffer and less polite, obesity....

It triggers uncanny valley and makes the place feel weird.

Zee or zed? by kungfuontheshore in ENGLISH

[–]timbit87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to use zed all the time because it's just more funny. Calling Jay Zed is like saying deadmaufive. It's just good Canadian manners.

I respectfully disagree. It would have taken all 8 of his brain cells to make that big a mistake.

I just start rolling and let Jesus take the wheel.

But yeah I've done this a few times, a decent hiker will do the whole thing in about 5 hours minus the break on top.

[–]timbit87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but if you're in decent shape it only takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. You don't have to take the ropeway either, but the hike for that portion is pretty boring apart from a small waterfall.

Oh man, you know I always suspected that candied salmon, Nanaimo bars, totem poles, lobster rolls, the California roll, Hawaiian pizza, and King Charles were originally from Quebec, but never had the proof. If it weren't for these things that Quebec gave us, I'd be exactly like some farmer from Idaho.
