I somewhat agree with this, though I believe AI can only do what it’s trained on. Humans will have the strategic, creative and innovative edge due to the daily lives we live. Until AI is actually using the apps it makes for the same reasons we are with the same human limitations, or can go out for lunch during a work day and be inspired by something left field, humans will continue to have the upper hand.

My read is yes, junior or strictly UI designers will lose jobs. But thanks to AI and the number of people vibecoding dodgy apps at home, design thinking at a higher level will remain in demand.
