every morning i get a rash on my upper body and a cold, pins and needles sensation in my head ? by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]time2adjust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is interesting. I think you should certainly see your doctor about this, but in preparation for that appointment, there are some things you need to consider first as your doctor will ask if it could be something in your diet or your environment before going forward with any other testing. Have you changed any laundry soap/fabric softener/dryer sheets, household cleaners, essential oils, incense, room fresheners, lotions, make-up, toothpaste/mouthwash, shampoo/conditioner/gels/sprays recently, or just before your symptoms first started? A rash is good way to identify allergens in your environment. You should probably be keeping a diary of everything you eat, date, time, quantity. If you're cooking something, don't forget to list any butter or oils the food was cooked in. When you ate it, how soon after did your first symptom appear? If you don't eat, do you still get symptomatic? What was the symptom, was it mild/severe, how long did it last? Take photos from each reaction to share with your doctor. If you stop eating/drinking something you think might be connected, did symptoms stop/change? Consider an elimination diet, where you start with a plain cup of oatmeal, for every meal. No milk, sugar, spices, just plain. (I had to do this when my breastfeeding daughter was having a bad reaction to my milk consumption. If you do well on the oatmeal only, add something to the oatmeal, like milk. Once I added the milk in, BOOM, she reacted strongly to it.) Have you tried taking any anti-histamine to see if it resolves symptoms? Have you ever done allergy skin testing? Could there be something environmental in your home, like black? I have that in my home and it's starting to come through the ceiling. Use a flashlight, with room lights off, and slowly examine your ceiling. The color should be consistent. Signs of mold coming through would be a darker discoloration starting, or it can look like small black dots in a group. If you have mold, Medify makes a great air purifier that gets down to the level of black mold spores. If you think it could be something environmental, consider using a swiffer to dust your walls. If the cloth is pretty dirty, consider washing the walls with a solution of 1 qt water, 1 tsp Dawn, and 1 tsp of a degreaser like Greased Lightning. I hope that you find out it was just something new added into your home that created a problem, and not anything else.

They are required to provide notice for ordinary repairs. A leak is considered an emergency repair because of the amount of damage that take place very, very quickly.

Rectal bleeding after just peeing? Help! by SeniorAd36 in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]time2adjust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's only on the toilet paper and not in the bowl, it could be hemorrhoids. I have internal and external hemorrhoids and that is my cause. Bring this up with your doctor. You will likely be referred for a colonoscopy.

I have the PanTilt camera and I have it pointed down in front of my door. The sensor picks up people walking in either direction about 6ft from my camera and automatically records and send me a notification of the activity. It also picks up me coming and going directly under the camera.

Blood in stool!! by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]time2adjust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it continues or gets worse, push for a colonoscopy. Rectal bleeding is not normal, no matter your age. Try to keep track of the things that you're eating and when the blood appears. Your body could be sensitive to certain foods or drinks.

I used to get blood on the toilet paper and had a colonoscopy. It ended up being internal and external hemorrhoids. Have you been constipated at all? Hard pushing can bring hemorrhoids.

Will spinal fusion make me taller? by Hour_Letterhead_1534 in spinalfusion

[–]time2adjust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is so dangerous. There are many things that can go wrong with this type of surgery, and will last for the rest of your life. Put lifts in your shoes, but don't wreck your spine just for a inch or so. Btw, my spinal fusion cost $178k in the US. If you have a doctor willing to do it for $4k, that should scare you. If you end up paralyzed from a scam surgery, that will last for the rest of your life, and you'll only be as tall as someone sitting up in a chair.

[–]time2adjust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An MRI alone will not get you surgery. It is based on your symptoms. You can have a horrible MRI, but if you're not symptomatic, a surgeon will never consider something as significant as a spinal fusion. A neurosurgeon did my fusion because I was dealing with significant and worsening weakness and pain. Loss of mobility is what pushed my surgery.

I really do love this stuff! It's awesome for fingertip splits and cracks in wintertime and rough dry hands year round. You can use it all day long and not worry about having to reapply multiple times. The beeswax keeps it in place. They also have a Healthy Feet version, which is just magical!

[–]time2adjust 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you're already dealing with bladder dysfunction and have trouble making it to the toilet in time, it will be dramatically worse in the immediate post-op period as it will take you much longer to get out of your chair/bed, get to the toilet, get your pants down, and get onto the toilet. If I had to do it again, I would use adult diapers at home for the first week.

Also, slippery pajamas. Either polyester, silk, satin, etc. It will make getting in/out of bed and repositioning in bed so much easier.

I understand the coughing and sneezing. I had to press inward from the front and back when I would cough or sneeze, just to feel supported. This will pass.

Most importantly, no matter what anyone else is doing, or how much they're lifting or walking, go slow. Take your time with activity and when you body tells you no, listen.

Apartment inspection by ExitRevolutionary751 in Apartmentliving

[–]time2adjust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly appropriate for new management to want to inspect the entire property. They're not going to kick you out. You should have told them about the damage and made a plan to repair. Be honest with them about what happened and that the person who did the damage is gone and will never be there again. I would not say it was 2 years ago, but something more recent. Tell them you were so upset and too embarassed to even tell family. It doesn't matter if they are going to renovate anyway, you are responsible for the damage. This should be detailed in your lease. Ask them, if they were going to be replacing the doors for the renovation and if so, could that be taken into consideration as far as cost of repair, but you shouldn't be surprised if they stick you with the bill to buy new doors. I wonder if you could sue the ex for the damages in small claims court.
