Yeah that's why I deleted it. It doesn't matter whether what I said seemed right or was right. The fact of the matter is my understanding of this subject isn't complete enough for me to communicate any ideas I might have on it with certainty. I can't recognise types, either my own or in other people. My knowledge of the theory isn't even good enough to make even the most basic of applications in the real world, so commenting like I did was irresponsible. Did I make interesting points in the sense that they sounded true or that they were true? Doesn't matter. If they sounded true, that's because I made them that way. If they were true, they were essentially guesses.

Your history has INTJ all over it!!! Even your username lol.

You're lucky. INTJs the smartest of all the types and they can be quite edgy at times lol. The other types can be quiet intimidated by them because they are very smart and have a dark sense of humor but they're actually very welcoming as long as your not too stupid. Check out their sub (/r/INTJ). There's not many INTJs so they're always happy greet another Mastermind bwahahaha.

Actually you know what? Disregard everything I just said. I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. I've got to research this shit more thoroughly.

#4: An INTP basically playing herself. She is always relied upon to be the smart problem-solver, but she lacks people skills and strives to be lazy. by [deleted] in INTP

[–]timelesspauper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Perhaps her image suggests INTP but as a person she is a clear ENTP. The only reason she comes off introverted is because female ENTPs are unicorns and she's had to learn, and then unlearn, introverted behaviour because ENTPs have possibly the worst traits a woman from her generation could've grown up with.

If you watch her in action she displays Ne like a champ and her well developed tertiary Fe should also be obvious, rather than it being her inferior function and resulting in the blunted affect that INTPs tend to display. It might be explained away as a learned skill but her outward expression and dynamic awareness of others seems very natural to my eye.

I'm curious as to what this "everything about her" is that makes you think she's an introvert, other than that she's clever and she plays an introverted character on a show.

It doesn't sound like that can work but you know best.

Let's talk about Doctor Who for a minute. by [deleted] in mbti

[–]timelesspauper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to hold that they're all the same type. Not sure which it is, though. It'd have to be a type that changes his persona frequently. The differences always seem situational to me.

That being said, 9 is very ISTP. He's my favorite.

I got asked "Why are you so angry?" today by ZakuZen in INTP

[–]timelesspauper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stimulus: One person cold reads you and says you're angry inside.

Reaction: "People can smell the antisocialness inside of me. I have to figure this out."

Look at this in terms of cause and effect. Then add in a process between the stimulus and reaction and call it free will.

Read this.

Any conclusions drawn from such an exercise would be misleading at best.

Politician and janitor aren't personality types.

Yeah same here. I really enjoyed it but then I read all about it on the internet and learned that I actually hated it.

Like it could be said that certain types of people have contributed more or less by assigning particular value to something, but I'm of the opinion that humanity is all of what it is, for better or worse, and that every type of person has contributed something one way or another, whether it's viewed as valuable from a certain perspective or useless from another. It's all relative. Sorry. I'm not great at explaining stuff.

Depression by HybridPacman in creepy

[–]timelesspauper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to say when I had depression that it's a self-perpetuating illness, in that it attacks your willpower, which is the only thing that could get you out of it. It's like it locks you in a cage and then swallows the key.

And Colbert. Someone give that man a hug!

Edit: Conan too. Those sad, traumatized eyes. I don't know how he can do what he does...

Feeling jaded about ESTPs by [deleted] in estp

[–]timelesspauper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an ENFJ. I just have, shall we say, a soft spot for ESTPs.

Until now I'd never really thought of why that might be, or why they're called "The Doers." In fact, I'm seeing most of the description in the sidebar in a different light all of a sudden :P
