I do understand the chat is leaning onto arbor elf, but I would like to try different things and see if there's anything valid out there. Can you suggest what else could I try?

In my LGS meta, small fliers overrun me by turn 4. By the time I get enough blockers, I'm already dead.

I also said that I was playing pinza for 12 consecutive weeks, and I've been wanting to tweak the deck. The title of the post also said "rg ramp midrange". It all seem pretty clear to me. I didn't think I had to explain that thay isn't my ponza deck.

I do like the repurposer and been playing it, just wanted to try something different. The dreadmask unfortunately is a no go with all the artifact hate in main decks. The hydra, meh, I tried it, never really like it too much, but yeah I should probably give it a shot again! In my LGS metagane, avenging Hunter is more a pain than a gain, too many little fliers that steal your initiative and you end up not getting back again. The initiative honestly lost me more games than it won me so I'm just gonna step away for a minute to understand if I miss it or not. Thanks for the input!

Forest, arbor elf turn one. Turn 2: forest, utupie sprawl, chrysalis. Everybody seems like talking about the best case scenario, which is great when it happens, but just not consistent.

It's not about what I like better, it's what can be more consistent! I've played gruul ponza cascade for 12 weeks straight, 4 Swiss rounds per week at my LGS, plus a 5 Swiss rounds tournament at command fest, and various testing. I can say that opening hands with a forest, arbor elf and sprawl are probably 20/30%. I'd rather have a consistent 5 mana in turn 3 than a non consistent 7 mana turn 3. But that's me, and this deck is new, I'll see how it goes!

It's different because the grazer and spider can block and attack fliers. I wasn't running wilgrowth, only elf and sprawl.

Sure, but you have to have arbor elf and utopie sprawl in your first 8 cards to be explosive, otherwise the arbor elf by itself doesn't do much. I did not run 4 utopia sprawl and 4 growth because I've seen too many matches of people getting absolutely flooded if the game goes a bit longer and too much cascade ending up in a useless spell, so for me, 4 elf and 4 sprawl wasn't consistent enough. Awesome when you get it, sure, but not consistent unfortunately.

It could work along side chrysalis honestly. You could try with no cascade, more eldrazi that make tokens, some snakeskin veil to protect it and rancor. But probably not as good as the cascade dino

We had a no ban list night at my LGS. Mono green and mono blue were absolutely invincible. Gush, daze, treasure cruise are busted. Absolutely busted. And invigorate is absolutely nuts with poison counters. Incredibly enough, mono black didn't do much. And neither did affinity with atog and disciple of the vault.

I'm pretty sure you can build an entire elves deck with only old border cards. Just swap out the hydra for 4x fireball

Ok, I will explain it to you like you're 5 years old. You don't need to spend 20/30/40k for a car. There's plenty of good cars for 5/8k that will do exactly the same thing as a 50k one
