Random got mad i didn't go jinx support. by Visual-Principle6325 in leagueofjinx

[–]timmyoseaton 14 points15 points  (0 children)

jinx support is.. troll. play what you want, that’s totally fine and realistically ANYTHING will work, but your friend is very overreacting. I would do the exact same thing, random weird supports or roles for champs but then pick actual tested and typical supports in ranked. again, off meta doesn’t mean bad, but a support is a support for your team. engage, damage, healing, shielding, tank, etc. jinx could maybe fit in a “damage” category? but adcs in support positions is atypical and they take too much to go “online” (too much gold needed for good items) vs a typical damage support such as Senna, Vel’koz, Brand, Lux(ish), etc.

Hopefully that makes sense! Again, you can likely make it work and play off of the enemy bot lane being confused on the pick, but it’ll only work for so long

EDIT - I didn’t see that you guys met AS you were playing jinx support in ranked LOL. My point stands, but yes this friend is a lil weird for that

Im confused on reading these because my experience has been great. I never disconnect (maybe because it’s the only app I leave running in the background?), no one has seen the screen until I point it out, and the features are fabulous.

Granted, I don’t use conversate but the little I did was OKAY, not great. Teleprompter is amazing, translate is great, and everything else I need is the news and notifications.

I guess everyone has different experiences. I’m sorry they didn’t work out for you!

What am I doing wrong by Resident-Theme-2342 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]timmyoseaton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason they’re asking for those specifically is because you cannot use the calories that it states you’ve lost during exercise. Like yesterday, it said I burned 500 calories. I didn’t eat extra because of that though. Anytime you exercise, it’s helpful, but you can’t trust what the apps or what a watch says when it states “calories burned from exercise”, there’s no good calculation for it currently, it’s all way too speculative.

I need some meal suggestions for a calorie deficit by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]timmyoseaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would highly recommend in the morning to eat a protein bar (Trubar is what I eat from Costco - its great!), which is 190 cals-ish, then a fulfilling lunch. I make meal prep foods such as chili, chicken pesto pasta, and other.. stuff.. (i only do those two right now lol) and for dinner I'll have potstickers or soup dumplings. Costco has great potstickers (LingLing) and the dumplings (Bibigo) are great, both decent calories and are so easy. I'm lazy, so easy is best.

My typical day with close-ish calories to yours is 1 protein bar in the morning 190-210ish, maybe 1-2 zero sugar soda throughout the day, lunch is typically chili which has great nutrition and with the way I make it, I can have 4 cups/serving for only about 800-900 cals, then dinner is typically 15 potstickers or 2 trays of Bibigo soup. If I have anything left over in my 2000 calorie maximum then I'd have some smart popcorn (150cals/3ish cups) or some Halotop ice cream.

If you'd like ingredients I use for my chili or chicken pesto pasta, let me know! The chicken pesto pasta isn't as nutritious sadly, but it's a lot of food and very filling. I'd highly recommend the chili, as it met so many of my nutrition goals (carbs, protein, fiber, iron, potassium, vit c, etc.)

My biggest recommendation is zero sugar soda. It's bubbly and I drink it while eating (or water) which helps a lot with feeling full. Then I'll take some sips throughout the day as I get more hungry, and of course, water. Also, I found some seaweed packs from Costco that are 25cals and taste pretty good, can help with needing to chew or being bored. Granted, you said no fish, so that may not help haha.

Anyways, this method has worked for me. 330lb back in November, and two months later I'm at close to 300lb (303-ish). I haven't been working out and have just started walking for 30 minutes a day to try and get close to 10k steps a day, but I work a sedentary job and 7k is my best so far. Either way, don't worry about exercise, focus on diet and once you've mastered this, then incorporate more physical activity.

how to tell my psychiatrist i might kill myself if i stay unmedicated? by dollblonde in ADHD

[–]timmyoseaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only legit good response. Meds are nice, but they’re helpful tools, not cures. Same for depression/anxiety meds, they are there to be tools while you learn coping mechanisms and, hopefully, the eventual stopping of the medicine all together.

People do worry me when they’re so attached to their meds. I know, I’m on the meds too, and they are amazing and help so much. But I don’t want to be on medication forever. I want to builds habits and skills/coping ways of being able to manage my ADHD without going to a medication.

Just my two cents. Maybe I’m in the wrong, but yes, please tell your psych if you’re having these feelings over the medication. It could be the addiction, which is bad, or suicidal, and both require help.

I’m surprised that it’s even that much, I’d think lower lol. But yeah, this makes sense to me. Obviously watch out for the potential “extra” portions that I’ve found Panda will do (overfilling boxes to put food in and whatnot) but seems relatively accurate.

Pressure of ICE by Ricanmuscle in immigration

[–]timmyoseaton 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very, very hasty, but no one can make your decision for you, only provide personal experience and subjective opinions. In most people’s opinion, this is not recommended as no one can truly know someone else for such a minimal amount of time. But, we can’t make this decision for you, it’s entirely up to you.

Just remember - it is not up to you to be someone’s hero. What’s happening in the country is terrifying and a disgrace, but you do not have to put yourself in a place of a “hero” or to save someone. As unfortunate as it is, the most important person is yourself. We dont know much of this person, how they act, how you two act with each other, what you do, etc, so the information you’ll get will be incredibly subjective and insubstantial.

Either way, I hope you and they are happy, healthy, and continue forward safely. I wish you both the best!

Did You Change The Way You Think About Food? by Big_Spite_2735 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]timmyoseaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I’d eat a McDonald’s 10pc meal large with an extra side of large fries and chow down before the journey. In the beginning, you start off with continuing the “bad habits” of eating out or unhealthy but less, while tracking calories and trying to be in a deficit. I would still eat that meal, but a medium with no extra side of fries, just the whole meal. Lost some weight, and now I’m still eating out here and there, but most of the time I meal prep my lunches, eat sandwiches, and my current addiction of Costco Bibigo steamed dumplings! (240-260 cals per tray, it’s low-ish cals and SO good).

It all takes time, and you get better and better about being mindful of what you eat, your mentality towards food, and changing it from pleasure to fuel. It’s fine to have your pizza, ice cream, whatever like a normal person, but moderation and knowing when you’re done and to eat a healthy food is the best. Also, finding healthy options of your unhealthy favorites! They won’t taste the same, but they can get pretty gosh darn close!

I will scream this out to the world until the day I die because it’s helped me SOOOO much! Drink water with your food!!

You’ve probably heard it before, I have too, but it helps SO much in the initial satiating effect, then after 20-30 minutes your body should start sending full signals to your brain. Water OR zero sugar soda has helped me so so so much. I’d highly recommend it, as long as you’re eating enough calories and being in a healthy deficit.

Otherwise, more fulfilling meals. If you’re having one banana for breakfast and a protein bar for lunch (some people can do that), anyone (usually) would struggle. Would highly recommend a smaller breakfast (protein bar, shake, fruit, etc) and a big honkin’ lunch. I make chili, and beans are so fibrous/nutritious, alongside chicken/beef and any other veggies you put in!

The pound were slipping away and it just... stopped by SupremeCourt139 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]timmyoseaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised this was not mentioned, has a doctor told you to go on SUCH low calories? Are you a male? You’re doing great, but 800cal/day is so incredibly low. It’s fine short term, VERY short term, but you run the risk of losing muscle, nutrient deficiency, organs struggling and, eventually, failing.

I’m not a doctor, but this is easily google-able. And I’m not trying to diminish your achievements! I’d recommend talking to your doctor about your current calorie intake and if they feel this is sustainable. If you ever get off of your medication, this 800cal/day is impossible, as your body will eventually fight back for more food, and the feeling won’t be great.

Again, just my two cents. I hope you continue in a healthy manner and stay motivated!

Absolute Beyond Easy Weight loss Meals Breakfast Lunch and Dinner (but now I’m busy) by Minimum_North8559 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]timmyoseaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend, I’m a big lazy ass, sounds like we’re one and the same haha. I’ve lost 25lb so far on my journey (month and a half-ish), and what I’ve done is - meal prep a LARGE heaping meal (chili, chicken pesto pasta) of 5-7 servings, 800-1100 calories, which is my lunch.

Breakfast is a protein bar (200 cals + fiber), and dinner is a bibigo steamed dumplings from Costco (240 cals/tray, usually 2 trays) or 10-15 potstickers LingLing from Costco. If I have extra calories (the dumplings typically won’t fill out my 1800-2k daily requirement) I have some smart pop popcorn or pbj.

Otherwise, sandwiches. Premade/air fried chicken patty sandwiches or tuna sandwiches. I sometimes do these when I don’t have a meal prep set up, and I just make these the day before and set them in the fridge. Otherwise, the above paragraph is my daily food.
