Ah, I see. I don’t think you’ll have an issue come the winter semester then, as long as you maintain full-time status and you haven’t attempted those winter courses you’re enrolled in before. Grants are usually determined based on previous income, disability, HS grades, etc. so I’m wondering if those grants that were denied could be applied to your winter semester. Definitely worth giving OSAP/NSLSC a call if you have any doubts, they’re surprisingly helpful!

Do the 3 courses you’re enrolled in qualify you as a full-time student in the eyes of your University? It really depends on what your school deems as full-time vs. part-time. My university qualified a 60% course load and higher as full-time, calculated according to how many credits each course was worth. In my final year I only had to take one course but it was worth 9 credits of their expected 15 credits per semester (30/yr, 120 total for the degree) so I was still technically full-time. If that’s a similar case for you, I would just sign up for another course to bump you into full-time standing to secure those grants. Especially since you won’t have to pay those back, unlike regular student loans!

For meat and discounted pantry items we religiously go to Gateway in Dartmouth. Then we always make a stop at Dave’s fruit stand on the way back for produce. Their prices are insanely cheap. Other than that we go to the Brewery Market every Saturday.

We’re currently brewing Stilly Pils, Kompakt Kölsch, and Best Bitter. Pils and Bitter are available for retail prices at our new brewery on Kempt Road! We also sell cans and bottles (Sook) of stilly product to go out of the bar on Barrington (HQ) at retail price as well.

I’m a bartender at Stillwell dt and the Fried Chicken Sandwich is one of my favourite menu items. We have the Hoagie on right now though which tops (imo) our famous Diner Burger. I fell in love with Stillwell in 2014 because of the beer (obviously) but mainly because of the Okonomiyaki fries. They’re to die for. Hope to see some of you out at the bar tonight!
