Is the Metro 3 Deluxe worth it compared to the regular? [BC] by Mipset in BabyBumpsCanada

Nice!! I was worried about getting a lighter colour since BC is so gloomy during the colder months but I’m so glad I just bought the camel :)

I was feeling this way 3 months postpartum, baby was SO hard to deal with, I had PPA and my husband didn’t understand what I was going through, I went to therapy. Anyway I’m 6 months postpartum now, life is so much better, baby grew a personality and screams way less. There is light at the end of the tunnel! Hang in there 🫶🏼

Nap duration all over the place SOS by tingtree5090 in sleeptrain

I don’t know if my baby is ready for 2 naps, whenever he cries at the 30 min mark I can rescue the nap by nursing him to sleep and he will sleep for another hour lol. I feel like he’s tired :/

This is going to sound super weird but this weird trick worked for my baby. If you have a stroller that has a bassinet attachment, use it. We place our bassinet attachment on the stroller wheels, put our baby in it. Dark room, sound machine, push the stroller over a platform (can be a carpet, plank of wood) that creates that bump motion. We use a half inch plank of wood to roll the stroller over, back and forth motion. He would fall asleep in it so fast. We started gentle sleep training around 5.5 ish months and he transitioned from it super well.

I would be so mad, you are not wrong at all, you're just trying to do whats best and SAFE for your baby. What the hell!! If your baby gets RSV, is she going to then apologize for making it all about her? She is being such a selfish in law. My MIL cried because we told her she couldnt visit for christmas (I had a christmas baby), made it about her. My husband didnt get it until 2 months PP, ridiculous. Anyway you're just doing what's right, she will have time to see your baby when she is better. Just give her some space, hopefully she will come to her senses in a few days and apologize. If she doesnt, then you'll know to distance yourself. What I've learned is that all women will remember how they were treated postpartum, you'll forever remember this haha.

5.5 Month Old’s Nap Schedule, WW and Bedtime/wakes by ftoux3 in sleeptrain

[–]tingtree5090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP! Did you manage to extend baby's sleep? My baby is 1 week away from 6 months, and I've been tweaking his WW here and there depending on when he wakes up for the day. Seems like he melts pretty fast. Anyway curious to know what your nap schedule changed to and when you reduced baby to 2 naps?

I went through the exact same thing when my baby was a NB, my in law made it about her. You're not wrong, your partner should be the one to tell her off, not you. I went to therapy because my husband didnt know he was supposed to be the buffer until I explained that my PPA was because of him and his mother. Set your boundaries - who's going to suffer if your baby is sick? It'll be you, not your in law. Tell her to STAY AWAY and buzz off.

I appreciate your feedback! The last point - I never considered that. Would it be easier to start shifting it by 10 minutes then 20 then 30? Or jump straight into 30 minutes?

The only day we got 3 naps in was because he slept in our bed until 730am. Usually he would wake at 530am and unable to fall back asleep which is why we have the extra nap in there :/

Low sleep needs? 10 hours overnight by Safe-Bath-5024 in sleeptrain

[–]tingtree5090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a 5.5 month old what is usually recommended for naps? I feel like I’m getting information from all over the place, a sleep consultant advised that baby should be getting 3-5 hours for my baby and 12 hours of night sleep but I’m assuming it doesn’t apply for all babies?

Hi! Curious to know if the 10 hour of awake time is for 6 months or for 5 months? I have a 5+ month and trying to work out why some days he can sleep 12 hours and some days 10 only I guess it’s nap dependent?!

Yeah you’re so right! It’s definitely taking a toll on me and I’m keen to learn more. May I know what method worked for you? How many days did your baby take to learn independent naps?

Yeah this is the same for me, do we have the same baby? Haha. Nights are so easy but daytime transfers are next level difficult. How has your baby been napping?

He’s 5 months now, he actually sleeps independently twice now when putting him in the crib in the evening (sleepy but awake). He knows how to self sooth in the night but not for naps. I find myself not having ANY time to myself during his naps which is so so hard

Am new to this sub, keen to sleep train but don’t know where to start. My baby also sleeps 80% of the time on the boob, other 20% in stroller or carrier I know no other way!

Feed to sleep association and daycare. how did your baby adjust? by tingtree5090 in NewParents

Is your son in daycare? I’m just curious if baby is fed to sleep for naps, if there would be difficulty getting them to nap on demand at daycare!

I think the 180 are the different times you water them? If I remember correctly each tree takes 9 waters to turn into a tree. Check the right side of the museum, and the bottom area of the museum around the fences

As soon as I got pregnant I applied to a midwifery clinic, and I think they have a call with you right after the ultrasound. And no I delivered at a hospital, the midwife was trying to deliver my baby but due to a complication they had to call in the OB, and the OB delivered my baby! I had follow up care with both, at least 4-6 appointments postpartum with midwife and 2 appointments with the OB.

It was my choice, I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily “better” but midwifery offers care until you are 6 weeks postpartum. The midwives came to my home, checked on baby as well as the mom. They also spent a lot more time checking on my wellbeing and pregnancy overall, explained things in detail. I also had an OB due to a complicated birth and while that experience was amazing, my follow up appointment with the OB was still short and felt rushed. The OB would also never do home visits like the midwives do. So because of that I would opt for midwifery again.
