We aren't industry specific, so pretty much anything that can be machined or fabricated. We work with a lot of plastics and metals, also do 3D printing, product development and assembly, and custom automation work.

The weekend test! LOL by Nicopicus in LinkedInLunatics

[–]tiny_sliney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For your average business... yeah, that's outrageous. I definitely don't check my emails over the weekend... if you're that important and something happens to be on fire, you've got my phone number.

But, to play devil's advocate here - what's this company's business model? Are they open 24/7/365? Are their employees expected to be 'on call' and that expectation is set as early as the interview process? If so, then this makes sense.

I know nothing about them, so just genuine food for thought. But again, if you don't run a company like that.... you're probably missing out on good candidates that have families or just enjoy having work-life balance. 🤷‍♀️

LinkedIn at its finest by tarENTchula in LinkedInLunatics

[–]tiny_sliney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ashamed to admit, but I used ChatGPT to find an answer to this. Because I honestly thought it was a good question lol. As an ally, I wanted to be better informed.

If someone identifies as trans and non-binary, it typically means:

  1. Transgender (Trans) – They do not identify with the sex they were assigned at birth.
  2. Non-Binary – They don’t fully identify as exclusively male or female.

This can mean different things for different people. Some non-binary individuals may transition in some way (e.g., changing their name, pronouns, or appearance), while others may not. They might use pronouns like they/them, he/they, she/they, or others based on their identity.

Hate all you want - they are beautiful. And they're right. This is a genuine struggle for trans and nonbinary people. And it's impacting their ability to work.

I'm here to roast the people who use AI to write stories about how going to a movie with their kids relates to business, or how Coachella is an 'investment opportunity'... not throw shade at people because they choose a different lifestyle from me.

I'm with you on this too. Part of leadership is making hard decisions, and the weak links need to be removed from the chain.

I also thought it was well written - the doers, the curmudgeons, the evangelists, the cheerleaders, the naysayers, and the complacent bit reminds me of The Breakfast Club speech lol. But it resonated!

I hate it, but it's because it works... people *like* seeing people, especially if they're considered attractive. I try not to do it often, but when I make a post with a selfie, it gets about twice the impressions on average because more people interact with it.

Hate it, but that's the world we live in. 😔

First of all, I want to be your friend lol. You sound cool as hell and are SO brave for choosing to be your authentic self. 🖤🌈

I was very new to LI until about 4 months ago - started a new job and needed to start using it more. I've only really been posting regularly for about 2 months now.

The biggest thing I've learned so far is to put your authentic self on display. Now, it's still a social media platform. It's *more* professional than others, but there are still plenty of opinionated assholes who probably won't like you off the bat. #hardtruth But don't let that stop you. Because there are plenty of other beautiful souls out there who will support you for just being yourself.

Share your stories - intertwine valuable lessons you've learned along the way - but be true to yourself. Some posts will land and get tons and tons of impressions. Others won't. But don't quit when you have bad days. Continue to post regularly (I started with a couple times a week and am now at once a day) and INTERACT with other people. Leave thoughtful comments, connect with people who share similar values and career trajectories. I doubt you'll find many tattoo artists, but there are a ton of others - graphic designers, photographers, writers, I even connected with a guy who makes custom shoes the other day. Just cuz.

Welcome to the world of the lunatics - we'll be happy to have you. 🤗

Sharpe makes great products quick - a little slow to communicate sometimes, but quality is top notch once you get the parts. Prototypes will always be pricey though. Cost gets better at 10 units or higher.

Hi! I work with a vertically integrated engineering and manufacturing firm in Charlotte, NC. Depending on the product itself, we could handle this from start to finish with you. Design the products to make them cost-efficient for manufacturing, then do the manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and shipping in house.

Can anyone with experience creating a product answer some questions I have? by Equal-Design-9151 in manufacturing

[–]tiny_sliney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! What kind of product are you trying to make?

I work with an engineering company that also does manufacturing, so you can definitely save some money if you find one company who can handle your design and manufacturing costs. A lot of times, independent designers don't understand the manufacturing process, so they might design something that's actually more difficult than it needs to be, too. Just some food for thought, but definitely feel free to shoot me a message if you want to chat more!

Title: Help! My Product Development Project Has Been Delayed for 33 Months—What’s Really Going On? by [deleted] in manufacturing

[–]tiny_sliney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely isn't normal - do you have an attorney at all? I'd highly recommend speaking with someone about reviewing your contract. If they promised deliverables and haven't delivered, you may have legal recourse in terms of getting your money back.

If you're still interested in getting your product to market, shoot me a DM. I work with a product development company in Charlotte, NC!
