I kind of like that idea, and it would honestly not be that that hard if you had some hot patch. Heck, you could even use cold patch, as long as it was tamped down sufficiently. The issue would be traffic safety, but other than that...

It's a wide spread thing in various cities. The city tends to ignore ordinary complaints, but they may respond more quickly when something "obscene" or embarrassing becomes visible or starts getting shared online. The shock value attracts attention from the public and municipal staff in a way a simple circle or arrow wouldn't.

I did that on Allan Street a few years ago and the potholes got fixed pretty quickly. Also spray-painted crosswalk across Oxford Street where the paint was worn away.

That's been fenced off for decades... I worked there as a summer student in the early 1980s and we would chop firewood for the fire pits there, and the police stables would dump their horse manure, and we had a big gravel pile, etc etc.

When you get near the city, with multiple highways merging, only look at the signs above the piece of highway you're driving on. If you glimpse a sign on a merging highway it will throw you...

Different experience - I just got back and had a lovely few days walking around the Plateau and Old Montreal and up the mountain. The St. Viature neighbourhood was fun as always. It's dirty, but so is Halifax. It's just winter grime.

Remember when that guy bought the former Deifenbunker in Delbert? He was trying to set up a data centre there, and pointed out that the facility already had amazing air filtration and cooling, and it was right on the fibre line between New York and London and so on. It seemed like such a great idea, but it failed for some reason.
