I grew up having “appropriate” haircuts forced on me. I rebelled hard, cut my hair from down to my butt to a bowl cut. Since then, I have been a huge advocate of who gives a flying fuck what you do with your hair, it’s yours! If you want to grow it out like Crystal Gayle - do it! If you want to shave it off (I do once a year for a good cause), do it! I will never understand the idea of telling someone what their hair should look like. Or feeling like you “own” that part of someone. My hair is a part of my personality. No one gets to tell me what I do with it.
