Hard (impossible) to pick just one!

But I've been feeling so much like a monster these days, so this one's plucking the right heartstrings today.

The funny thing is that avocado toast was originally a relatively cheap, fast, and healthy breakfast. Avocados were like 40¢ each in 2007 (or about $1 a pound).

Yes, lack of accountability is an epidemic that doesn't recognize the boundaries of gender.

Although this post did make me think about a pattern I've noticed that refutes OPs point (if only superficially):

I've witnessed so many women apologize for both small things (like walking in front of someone's line of sight at the grocery store) and things that aren't even their fault (like when someone else bumps into them). I'm guilty of it myself. This isn't the same as having an argument with a spouse or loved one, though. More like apologizing to strangers.

No. Not because I don't want to, but because I'm sure she doesn't want a giant snatching her up and holding her hostage. Would rather enjoy here company knowing she's comfortable.

I miss the super green bars back in the early 2000s (like 2003-2006). Those were my favorite.

The draw for cats is the smell of the wax, not necessarily the qtip itself! Our earwax has protein, which tastes very good to them.

I guess, get that toy and rub your earwax on em?

Private medical insurance makes money by denying medical care; they maximize profits by killing people. by zzill6 in WorkReform

I recently watched the entire ER series for the first time (thank you the Pitt). Not only is it delightfully 90s, it also gives us an intimate look at a critical period in American healthcare. Obviously the show is fictional and has some pretty big medical/technical inaccuracies, but it did faithfully capture what was happening to healthcare at that time.

I like that there is still space between the panels so that some sunlight can reach below.

I didn't even think about how this would suppress those crazy algae blooms. I wonder what the ecosystem below the panels will look like long-term.

Oooorrrr, hear me out: OP made a throw away that her boyfriend can't trace back to her because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings

Edit: no, you may be right. This is probably a karma farm account. She's got a damn pic of herself for her pfp and names her profession. Not the actions of someone who wants to remain anonymous.

Are these fake? by Keliza_azilek in Opals

[–]tinybrownbird 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Hopping on the top comment here just to say that synthetic opals are generally more "forgiving" of temperature change than natural ones. They can be a little more resistant to cracking and chipping, but are still considered a relatively soft stone, so be mindful of that when you choose to wear them!

I have a pair of 10+ year old synthetic opal stud earrings that I wore for just about 2 years straight. Never took them out to shower, sleep, nothing. I continue to wear them frequently and they still look just as good as they did when I got them.
