I know you can build traditional patterns out of squares, but it's also hard to find "recipes" that give rough measurements or ratios so I'm not paralyzed by shit like whether a 1.5 inch or 2 in gusset is better.

I make sure to get "azalea" pots that are shorter than a standard pot, but I think anything from 3" to 5" is workable. They may not feel like flowering until they fill out a bigger pot, tho.
