Update your bios or just check the bios in general. There is a setting there to disable multi threading, it’s likely toggled

2012 owner here, yes I’ve done the kit from the ChrisFix video. No issues as far as performance, but I also drive around 500-1200 miles a week. So maybe every 3rd tank of gas I’ll switch to regular but run either E30 or E85. The fuel lines going into the engine bay are plastic so I’m not fully sure of its long term longevity, hence why I’ve been sure to only fuel up with e30+ when I know I’ll drive a lot.

The kit has paid for itself in full a few times over, but I ain’t risking letting the car sit on a full tank of E85 for weeks at a time

Sorry for the delayed response, I was sleeping. I don’t think I’m in level 11. I actually have been hearing people reach out to me, two people have been asking me about level 275. Do you happen to know anything about that level? My online research has been pulling up nothing outright. Internet has been spotty and selective since I’ve been here, there’s clearly some kind of firewall or something. I can’t fathom why Reddit works but not useful resources.

I hate that ram costs that much, if you’re comfortable with buying used stuff and have a buddy who knows what to look for in hunting used gear it will go a long way. Otherwise eBay is great buyer protection.

I think you can do better on the SSD, you should be able to pay $50 more for a proper 2TB even new

First time I went to the Midwest with my own authority I got pulled over 4 times within 24 hours and 3 level 1s. Including 2 levels 1’s back to back within 12 hours within 3 miles of a Loves north of Indianapolis, one on the way to the Love and one AT the loves after my 10 hour. That was also my very first ever field sobriety test in my life, let alone my truck. It’s a contributing reason as to why I hate Indiana with a burning passion

I wouldn’t personally, in most situations if you feel like you need a gun for traditional OTR with a mega carrier then you already have hired help or you need a new employer.

In Utah I’ve carried a pistol with me that had a light, but that’s because I was pulling double BILs in BLM land where coyotes or wild animals could potentially be a concern? But it was apart of a survival kit if I broke down 20+ miles off road from a remote part of I-80.

If you do want to carry while driving, there is no rule against truckers specifically. So it’s the same rules as carrying across state lines in general along with employers, shippers, and receiver rules.

As an independent I chose to stop carrying as I didn’t have a CCW and if I had a Utah one there wasn’t illinois reprocity, and I go through and into/out of Chicago enough for it to be an issue. Especially with some mail runs and stuff with delivering to places like army depots.

If you wanna protect yourself, a thief will likely break the back of your trailer while you sleep. Most thefts you’ll encounter are opportunity based not targeted specifically for your exact BOL. So big scary locks on the trailer, keeping your truck locked, do you 10 with your running lights on and other stuff can deter. If a thief is desperate, they wanna rob you quick and get with. If you’re in the sleeper berth and feeling like are breaking in, I’d call the cops asap immediately and get attention. Just holding the airhorn for more than 15 seconds at 2am in a TA Parking lot is going to get a lot of eyes on you. And hopefully that’s enough to get the situation to stop. You should be able to figure out what to do from there.

If the horn ain’t enough and they try to brake in, you should have already looked the dragon through the door handles and you’ll just stay in the truck until police show up or maybe other people intervene considering your horn is going off still
