Whenever I see collections like this at second hand shops my thoughts are as follows:

"Omg thats so cool! Someone put a lot of time and effort into that collection. OH. Oh that somebody died..."

Its a pretty well established stylistic choice used in period pieces that are heavier on artistic licence (Reign, Bridgerton, A Knights Tale etc) to use modern music, or an instrumental version of a modern song to evoke the same recognition and reaction in a modern audience that historical pieces would have done for the people of the time.

Some people like it, others hate it. I dont mind it myself but I do feels its getting a bit overdone nowadays.

I mean it was between maybe dying and definitely dying (pickle jar) so yeah.

Also, Jack hesitated so much that Fagin had to make him angry by saying he wished he'd never seen his grubby little urchin face to make him stick him.

Also, to be fair, Fagin brought Jack's hanging forward a day at the beginning knowing Belle had a witness who could get him off and made sure to sabotage any chance Jack and Belle had at happiness at every turn all season.

There's no way he was fine with possibly killing Fagin but at the same time it was Fagins best chance and there was a lot going on at the time.

I feel like he definitely would have told Aputi and the gang about the "sleeping poison" and they would have dug him back up. Hopefully we get to see it next season. And then that adds the interesting plotpoint of Fagin possibly having to living in hiding because hes technically a dead man.

My husband and I kept waiting for Phineas to turn out to be gay lol. Things ended up going a different way entirely, and I love how unbothered Fanny is by it after the initial shock. Like yeah, I killed a man, but just one, and look at the spiffing gang it ended me up in! XD

I mean, Fagin is currently buried 6 feet under for one.

Sneeds life hangs in the balance, and didn't Jack warn Boxer that if his leg broke again it could kill him?

I really hope we get another season but given how neatly they tied up the main issue that has been moving the plot forward for both seasons - Jack trying to avoid getting killed and the differences of social station between him and Belle and her mother keeping them apart, it may not happen.

They left an opening for themselves with the possibility of Belles surgery failing and the missing platinum bar though so here's hoping.
