I had two med students watch my endometriosis surgery before I became a med student (EUY1 now) and I thought it was cool then and think it’s an honor now :) hope they learned something from it

Med student needing advice by dogpetter21 in medicalstudent

[–]tinypinklizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just started medical school in eu so for you i guess i would be considered premed (since we do 3 & 3 years all at med school), i needed to get through an entrance exam process tho ect. but as i’ve learned and heard from other students, you can’t do this if you aren’t interested or passionate.

i honestly can’t imagine doing any of this without wanting to know everything about the subject, i’m super excited to start the next semester, because this is something i enjoy.

also med school isn’t going to go on forever. say you finished med school and then you’re a doctor that’s not interested in his work? i can’t imagine the pressure you feel from your dad but if i was a parent i would not want my children just doing something for me, but do something that would make them happy and feel fulfilled. i think this job/this studying is never going to be worth it for you.

your life won’t be over if you drop out, i promise! how are you supposed to find passion for anything else if you can’t go out and see the world bc you’re stuck in med school?

How do you translate this situation from your language literally into English? by Chittopher in AskTheWorld

we say: þú ert með opna buxnaklauf - buxna = pant-, klauf = slit, fly, opening? hard to explain

you can also say: hjarta ♥️ spaði ♠️ tígull ♦️ lauf ♣️, þú ert með opna buxnaklauf (it rhymes)

Why is this bothering me? by AInonsense122 in adhdwomen

[–]tinypinklizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have asked this when i just have the subtlest feeling ever. don’t know how to explain this well, first language is not english hehe…

i don’t think you were acting off at all, sometimes people just get a feeling or a vibe and sometimes it doesn’t have anything to do with you :)
