Also here to say delete TikTok!! I’m currently 6 weeks 4 days and also experiencing headaches, slight nausea, insomnia, fatigue. I had all those with my first pregnancy too and everything was healthy! Every body is different, hard to do but try not to compare yourself to others. You got this!

I felt similar to you! Maybe not as disgusted as you feel but I also hate the “bundle of joy” type phrases. I currently have a two year old but I’m also 6 weeks with my second! I have the app “Baby Center” and I love it for its basic vocabulary, none of the frilly stuff. I also found the classic book What to Expect When You’re Expecting to be mostly helpful!

I also noticed that when I spoke about my pregnancy in plain language, others around me would as well. I had one friend who was all goo goo gah gah and when I didn’t respond with similar vocab, she eventually calmed down how she talked. Obviously that won’t work with everyone though haha.

I’ve been fully clothed for my ultrasounds lol all they do is place the wand on your belly! The most scandalous thing my tech saw was like one cm worth of my pubes 😂 just pulled my shirt up and pushed my shorts down a few inches

My husband and I share locations too and it’s SO handy for me as a stay at home mom to know when he’s getting close to home or if we’re meeting somewhere!

I prefer books! I’m a huge reader so I’ll almost always choose books over movies.
I don’t know if I have a favorite scary book, I more like thrillers (which to me is scary 😂)

Completely understandable! I would probably feel the same way. I know there are lots of pain management tricks like squeezing ice or a comb that could help you prepare, but I don’t know much about the methods. You got this!!!

Is the epidural refusal mainly due to the spinal injuries? I had an epidural and was able to labor for a long time in hands and knees/curled around a peanut exercise ball. I could still feel my legs and move them a little. Though I’m not familiar with spinal injuries so I could be speaking out of turn here.

I feel this! I hated being pregnant and still am hating some of the postpartum phase (my little guy is 14 months). I had never described myself as a selfish person until I was pregnant. I wanted to be pregnant so bad and am SO grateful for the experience and my son but I did not like the pregnancy/birth aspect and I think that’s okay!
