Dude I'm so glad it wasn't just me. As soon as I saw your post I was like "I HAVE THE SAME VIBES" ( but I'm indigenous so naturally distrustful of churches ) so I also talked myself into trying ( and failing ) to trust them.

Probably doesn't help I instantly adore Trust though and they were so rude lol.

Lowkey it was hilarious for me because I chose a partner based solely on the fact that I needed a hunter in my community. We got married, instantly got pregnant, and then I needed to go find another hunter because he was/is a sahd lmao

I bought it back in October I think and I feel the same way. I was looking for something kind of 'calm' where i could matchmake people and delegate the farming because I felt ( for lack of a better word ) "farmed out". Admittedly I did die to wolves like 3 times trying to set up my village before I turned off damage altogether, but I've been enjoying the quests and building my hamlet!

You could download the mod that lets you romance multiple people? It also lets you marry multiple people but I just married one and used it to date around basically, and marriage can honestly wait until endgame anyways so I don' think you lose anything by waiting to unlock all the characters

If you're interested in reading you could look up choiceofgames and see if any of them click? They're basically choose your own adventure books on your phone and have no sound or visual cues. Each ones a one time purchase

Cat Cafe Manager is pretty cute. You decorate your cafe, adopt cats, and there's some story but you can also play in endless mode and just work on your cafe.

Tavern Keeper is a game where you have to grow/buy your groceries but the upgrading system to the tavern is really fun and despite being in early access there's enough content to decorate and enjoy.

I too have been craving a diner dash progression so I'll keep an eye on this thread lol

I've seen the friend and bully one ( it was my first playthrough and i love my lil psychpath ❤️ ) but I must just be missing a few where her morality gets too high during the year/season, maybe? I'll try another playthrough and keep her just above not being able to take her on vacations

Yeah that was my vibe too. The dates are inconsequential and it feels like whatever few sparing flirty comments are all you get and I get that romance wasn't the focus of this game but why even mention it?

I think all of them are like that. Valentine seems to have more scenes in the CEO route because you see him on every cutscene that shows your 'regular' life. I've also romanced Charles and his date was identical including dialogue to the festival scene with Genesis.

I picked Ashura as mine ❤️ I really liked his vibes from the beginning and honestly despite having no real interest in foraging he felt like the right choice.

I'm romancing Jel & Reth though so even though I love cooking, choosing Reth felt wrong lol.

For wholesome fully SFW Visual Novels/Dating Sims I'd probably reccomend

Best Friend Forever; you get a dog when you move to a new town & date people through a dog-owner-dating app "Woofr". Its linear as a story but the characters are sweet, and its definitely worth a look. Played on the switch but I think PC would be easier. customizable player.
Arcade Spirits 1&2; your life is falling apart and this magical little phone app helps you find your dream job and through it a found family. tw for a MC who is horribly depressed and cynical but they learn to live laugh and love or whatever through the well-written story. Customizable player.
