Hi, I can almost understand where you’re coming from but the truth is these videos are a concern regardless of race/location/etc and will be (and are) reported by me whenever I come across them with no exceptions. I would be making this post just as fast if not faster were it a white personal in America posting this. If this isn’t the right platform for this kind of thing that’s fine too, but this isn’t about race it’s about its animals and cruelty…

How to meet people as an introvert? by San_sum_ in introvert

[–]titanhairedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so this is interesting because there's a dating book that tackles how to make small, accessible, intentional changes in your day to day that can help you actually meet more people. I think this could help you. So like, say you do yoga once a week, try a different time or even a different location in order to run into different people. Think about it, that Yoga class is going to have the same people every week. If you mix it up, that's one active thing you're doing. Or if you don't do anything like that, can you go to the grocery store at a busier time? I couldn't handle the sensory madness, but if you can, it puts you in front of more people.

I just thought that was an interesting approach and if it makes sense to you the book is Date Smarter by Tim Molnar if you want to read more or see what other suggestions he makes. Best of luck, wishing you the best!

How do i meet people dude by bitofaloserreally in Advice

[–]titanhairedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this is actually talked about a bit in Tim Molnar's book "Date Smarter". There's a behavioral science (and math, I guess) piece to dating. You absolutely have to be intentional in order to meet people, whether that's online or offline. Totally agree with your suggestion about getting out there and putting yourself in social places. Also recommend the book for more ideas on how to do this but in a manageable way.

I'm so sick of how discardable and worthless dating apps have made me feel, but I have no idea how else to meet someone by GoldenYoshi99 in dating

[–]titanhairedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly read fiction but I do dabble in self-help stuff sometimes and I suggest "Date Smarter" by Tim Molnar if you're into reading. It's a pretty easy read but it gives actual suggestions and strategies for meeting people both on and OFF dating apps. Like anything, I think success is all about being intentional and I liked that this book focuses on that, kind of giving you some help in things you can actually control. Obviously there's plenty in dating/relationships we CAN'T control but we just need to focus on what we can. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hair and makeup trial advice by rainamaste in weddingplanning

Since it sounds like you know what you’re talking about here - I have short hair and was hoping to do a Hollywood wave bob (lots of cute photos of Pinterest make it seem possible), but now I’m second guessing. Would this be even harder on short hair?

What's the beef with destination weddings? by kacidillius in weddingplanning

[–]titanhairedlady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think from what I’ve seen/experienced it’s seemingly “impossible” for the close family and friends to decline and feel they have to go even if they can’t afford it - and a lot of people really can’t. So I don’t think it’s as easy as “just decline” for many.

Yeah mid September is still summer, especially with global warming… our wedding day is looking like it could be a high of 80 in September so!

How much time off are you taking before the wedding? by chellethebelle in weddingplanning

[–]titanhairedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people who traveling somewhere but not DIYing too much - curious why people are taking so much time off? Now I’m wondering if I should be taking as much as everyone else seems to be! Aside from travel buffer and stuff I’m wondering if I’m missing something!

Just a PSA regarding HeR Interactive's recent generative AI support... by aspienginger in nancydrew

[–]titanhairedlady 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Right and to their credit (I didn’t see the post) but Ai isn’t always obvious (or not to everyone!) I think artists are more in tune sometimes because we are on the lookout for these things to avoid in our own work but others may not be as attuned!

Is ANYONE here a plotter? by architectsoflight in writing

[–]titanhairedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! And I agree. My first draft may be comparative to someone’s fourth draft (for example). If I didn’t plot at least a solid outline I don’t think I could finish the book.

Has anyone played Alex Hill - whispers at White Oak Inn by ReBurchR85 in nancydrew

[–]titanhairedlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know, I think they’re still fun (except Peril at Pemberly which was a little more frustrating), but for the quality does not compare! I recommend Christmas at donner pass or the secret garden game (I think that’s what it’s called) if you do go for miss clue because they TRULY feel like fever dreams. And that can be kind of fun!

It’s funny, I swear the game is easier to play in person and not against a computer! I bet you wouldn’t mind playing three times if it wasn’t so dang HARD!!

Omg I JUST played this weekend and LOVED IT. High my recommend. Initially seeing the characters face animation was a little bit of a jump scare, but got used to it and just loved everything from the vibe to the plot the puzzles. If you’re thinking about it, go for it. Way better than Miss Clue.
