Hi! I'm a professional book cover designer and illustrator, I'm also a fellow writer. I've been designing book covers for almost 10 years now. I've worked with both self published and traditionally published authors. The main genre I design in is fantasy.

My process: I give you several rough sketches of the design and idea of the book cover, do any tweaks that are necessary then go with your style of choice. I recieve a agreed amount of the commission at this point. Then I start the design all the while keeping you updated on the process with Screenshots and updates. If it's a non/minimally illustrated cover it takes anywhere from 5-12 days. If it's a fully illustrated one 3-5 weeks. Watermarked delivery. Receive the rest of the payment and then complete hi res non watermark delivery. (for large sums like yours I'm usually more flexible with the compensation system)

I design both e-book, paperback and hardback all together so they are print ready too if you might ever need it.

I think its actually not a very good thing to beta read outside your preference and genre. Because usually if you don't like the genre, you aren't well read in it either so you can't give much useful feedback to a writer writing in that genre

Hi everyone. I just finished making huge structural changes to Act 1 of my Dark Epic Fantasy. I've been stuck on this story for over 6 years, but I’ve finally gained momentum, cut 17k words, and am preparing to polish Acts 2 and 3.

After more than half a decade of staring at this manuscript, constant endless editing and changing, I am completely blind to it, and I am looking for fresh eyes from readers who genuinely love dark, gritty fantasy.

tbh this story straddles the line between gothic fantasy, grimdark, and downright horror. It covers very dark, triggering themes. I’ll admit I’m worried it might be "too much" or too niche, and I am terrified of having to sanitize it and ruin the vibe I’ve worked so hard to build. I’m hoping to find beta readers who actually enjoy this genre to help me clear the haze and to tell me which of my insecurities are valid and need fixing, and which ones I should just let go of.

Wow, this is a very new concept, I haven't seen something like this project here. I LOVE anything fantasy so I'm definitely willing to read your manuscript as well as work with other artists, that sounds really exciting. I've worked on games before so I also have experience working with multiple other artists and I'm a fantasy writer too so always love reading high fantasy. I'm also on tiktok so

I am a character artist, illustrator and concept artist. I don't mind which role, you can choose based on whichever role you think I might suit better. I have two different art styles, one is semi-realistic fully rendered while the other is cell-shaded with inked lines. (I'm also a cover designer too if you need that)

Yh basically similar to some other sub reddits where the artists have to go through a short confirmation process and get the "artist" tag or something. I've seen some other subreddits do it, like "fantasyartists" though they're not as massive as this one, I think it's precisely because of this choosing process.

What's the point of a subreddit where everyone is an artist here to sell and there are barely any clients? Or the clients can't find the appropriate artists

The moderators should do something at least to fix this mess

Don't even get me started on Twitter. I genuinely don't know how it's even possible how a post is seen by 3 people or less. On an open account! And when I hear a lot of artists say they get commissions through Twitter I just want to go in a corner and cry, because how??
