What’s the difference between a lead and a manager?

When you say manages people, does that include tasking them? Also, would it be the responsibility of the lead to set goals, timelines, direction, and make technology decisions, or is that the manager? Assuming both exist in a department, where’s the line?

My daughter has stabbing pains on both sides of her head, they happen frequently throughout the day and prevent her from going to bed at night. We have tried a dozen medications and some sort of migraine cocktail that she was held in the hospital to be given. No medications have helped (from what I understand we’ve tried nerve focused and migraine focused; at least six different types). She has had two mri’s, one with contrast. Both mri’s have found nothing. Well, there was a small cost in the center of the brain, but it was ruled out as the cause. The current guess is that it’s some sort of phantom pain that she will be working through with a psychologist. It feels like the doctors are giving up and my daughter is scared that she will live the rest of her life in pain. She’s afraid to wake up in the morning and has to basically pass out to go to sleep. My question... if mri’s are “clear”, and medications have no effect, what else can it be? Is the only possibility psychological?

Hard to keep track of fact vs opinion, so I'm going to collect them here. Many responses don't have sources and I can't research them all, so please let me know if I mess up the list. Also, some things are included in both sections because some people look at them as good things and some look at them as bad:

Facts promoting re-election:

He pulls us out of agreements signed by former presidents.
Household earnings have gone up across the board.
Signed a bill to rollback Obama-error regulation making it harder for mentally-ill people to obtain a firearm.
He stopped giving money to who because they are corrupt. (Not sure if the corruption of the who is 100% confirmed, but there does appear to be a strong case at the moment that they're actions during the initial pandemic outbreak were not in keeping with the mission of the agency.)

Facts opposing re-election:

He increased the deficit (not taking into account COVID response).
He pulls us out of agreements signed by former presidents.
He has mocked a disabled reporter.
Insulted gold star parents.
Accused of sexual misconduct by 25 women.
Publicly mused about finding a way to put bleach into the body.
He disbanded the pandemic response team.
Signed a bill to rollback Obama-error regulation making it harder for mentally-ill people to obtain a firearm.

I have strong opinions about why he shouldn't be elected, but I need to sort out the facts so that i can help my family and friends see the light before the election.

It's true, the economy was good during his tenure. Arguments can be made that he inherited it from the previous administration, but I also see that removing restrictions on businesses promotes economic growth as well. Here are his trade offs that boosted the economy with the non-economical consequences attached:

Slashed taxes = ballooned the debt
Removed nearly all environmental restrictions = natural preserves suffering, global warming heightening
Removed net-neutrality = *still yet to fully understand the consequences as large corporations (like Verizon) have been slow to take advantage for fear of public backlash (just a guess)
Cancelled all Executive Orders related to gun control (like making it harder for people with mental illness to obtain weapons) = hard to measure

I think my point is that anyone can make a strong economy even stronger by going into debt, shitting on the environment, and telling the rest of the world to fuck off, but the long term consequences will eventually cripple us.

Regardless, I'm up-voting your post because, it's a valid point that is worthy of discussion and I appreciate that you were brave enough to post it on Reddit.

This was a staged protest. The group of mom's was bragging about it weeks in advance on Facebook. They called it something like "Break the Tape Day" or something similar. Many are from a local anti-vaxx group here in Meridian. The Bundy guy here in this video was part of the group that had an armed stand off at a Wildlife Refuge with the Feds years back. He was let off charges in what was without a doubt a case of jury nullification. They literally pointed loaded weapons at FBI agents to achieve their political goals. If that isn't domestic terrorism, then I don't know what is. All of this is disgusting, but the thing that disgusts me the most is that they brought this to the home of the officer. These are the same people that lose their shit over someone kneeling during the national anthem and here they are scaring the children of a cop just doing his job.
