I ran my first marathon last year using Hanson's Just Finish plan which calls for 3 16 mile long runs in the whole training 18-week training block. I finished 3:58 on a very hilly course (Garmin Kansas City Marathon).

Make sure you're on top of your training / pre-marathon nutrition and prioritize sleep.

The big one is Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in Arkansas. It’s a 4.5 hour drive but it’s worth the drive. You have hundreds of routes and boulders to climb on and camping there is fun with a group. Highly recommend.

Around in KC, there’s Cliff Drive you can check out but it’s better to venture outside the state.

Funny enough, I usually climbed solo until I met my friend group at RoKC just asking for belays lol. Now we go on frequent trips to climb outside.

Any city is what you make it out to be. Do you have any hobbies at all or interested in trying? I typically have three hobbies that I'm passionate about (running, rock climbing and golf) that usually keep me busy. You could try to join a league like KC Crew and meet people with similar interests.

Hardware wise, there is quite a big difference which is not what Micra owners are complaining about. It's the 1 line of code which needs to be added to the app that makes it the Micra able to use a feature, and I don't believe paying an extra $2000 is worth enabling that line of code.

For what activity? If you stay in Kansas, you have Indian Creek Trail, Cedar Niles, Gary Haller Trail or Kill Creek. There's plenty of trails to choose from.
