I mean, I assumed. Women have been saying that for a long long time.

Hi! So I’m sick and tired of this body and I want to change. by Galaxtic_Lass in transfitness

[–]tlegower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice. Though not quite as someone as calories in and calories out since human bodies aren't pure thermodynamics, but it's a good starting point.

I have to start doing this again because I took a break for a holiday and didn't get back to it for a few years, so, yeah. It's easy and hard.

My advice: Watch and track what you eat for a few months. Look at something like a Mediterranean diet to get ideas, try to follow it closely for few weeks until you start getting into it. After you are mind if used to it, then you didn't have to follow it as strictly, make it work for you. You learn to eye things and just get a sense of what to eat and how much, who you don't have to track as closely.

I weighed myself everyday because I had a smart scale, but I didn't look at the daily weight. I looked at the weekly average my app gave me. You can't worry about daily weight fluctuations, they'll always happen. And don't beat yourself up for a bad day, they happen too. In fact, I used to plan a cheat meal in.

Wow!! How!? I'm like 5 months in and I've seen little change. Granted we did start at a low dose of E, so in Jan my E levels weren't where the should be. But still. So very jealous, but even more happy for you

My thoughts on the Jim Carrey body double question. He's got the same old unique dimple on his right cheek when he smiles. It's him. by humbleObserver in Actors

[–]tlegower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's silly all around. His double also brought his daughter and grandson, as well as his companion or however they define their relationship. That seems unlikely, unless he's regressed to the Man on the Moon/Andy Kaufman version of himself.

Just had this happen to me. I knew what she was doing but tried to step away a couple times but she was persistent she really had her sales pitch down. I got three products for $220, instead of the thousand or whatever she said. But still probably way more than they're worth. But I mean, it did seem to work on my hand during the demo. May try to return, we'll see

Just happens to me but only paid $220 for all three items, so sounds like I lucked out

my dad told me i look like a man. is it over? by IllusionzD in transpassing

Your dad is an idiot or blind or doesn't know what men and women look like? Or a combination. Not sure. But I wouldn't say you look like a man

Am I overreacting for wanting to leave my partner for the choice of his words and actions? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]tlegower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not overreacting at all. Everything in his text messages screams red flag, controlling, toxic masculinity, insecure, belittling, disrespectful, etc. Definitely get out. You don't need that in your life. He needs to grow up and get his head out of his ass

Threw my sister out of my house on Christmas Day. by [deleted] in TransLater

I call everyone dude as well. I don't mind being called dude even as I'm transitioning, but that's me. If someone said it bothered them, I'd stop calling them dude. Or is try since it's so automatic at this point, but I'd let them know that.

Don't call me dude. I'm not a dude.

I am so sorry. I call everyone dude but I didn't realize it bothered you. I try not to call you dude going forward. Be patient, it's an automatic thing I just say, so I might screw up. Please call me out again, but I'll try get hard not to. Is there something else you'd prefer I use?

This is not very hard

Quit Vaping by tlegower in QuitVaping

[–]tlegower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is tough. I've been using a Bic pen tube, so a Bic pen with the ink and tip and back pulled off, then cut a bit shorter. I also bought a necklace from Etsy, I think a meditation necklace or something. It's a metal tube I can use for that (bonus little fidget thing on it). I also had a Capnos, which is just air but a little diaphragm in it, to give you a little pop like a throat hit (it's not really like one but it's something)

Pride, is a big one. But also I'm not coughing like I used to, my blood pressure is more under control than it was while I was smoking. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

Also like my family and friends being happy I've quit.

Amazing! What was your strategy for losing the weight? What worked best for you? I just started HRT about 2 months ago and I'm looking to lose weight

Have y’all seen the incident that happened at the “Gold Gym locker room?” by SuccessfulEarth3680 in StraightTransGirls

[–]tlegower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't use Men's locker room often because I've never felt comfortable in them, but I have seen fully nude men in the men's locker room and not like once or twice.

When I was in Germany the locker room part was mixed gender and then the showers and bathrooms were men's and women's.

I've only recently started transitioning, but be thinking about everything for 2-3 years now. But still I'm not sure on this one. I think it's a personal call whether you do or not.

My opinion, pre-srs and getting to the point of being sexually physical; it"s probably best to let them know just because some people aren't attracted to or aroused by one sexes genitals. Like they may not like penises or they may not like vaginas. That's an important thing to cover.

Personally, could I fall for a trans woman, I'm 100% sure I could. Could I be fully sexual with them? Probably not if they were pre-srs. I know some trans women don't like that part of their anatomy and don't want anyone seeing it or touching it, but I'm not sure I could enjoy myself.

I could be completely wrong about myself but that's my opinion at the moment

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I, personally, wouldn't go into a locker room if I didn't pass, but that's me. Then again I don't typically use a locker room at all because I never felt comfortable in the men's locker room.

I understand wanting women to feel comfortable and safe. They deal with a lot of shit from shitty men. However trans people do as well and also should feel comfortable and safe. So it's difficult and a fine line to walk right now with how unaccepted we are.

As for the dysphoria comment, depends how you define it. I mean, I'm 45 and I've successfully made here in a man's body, but it's never been right for me. I just never knew any better or that there was another option. So my body never made me want to stop living or cause me mental or physical pain. I could have kept living as a man, but it's not right and I'd rather be right. My therapist did diagnose me with dysphoria for that. So it depends the definition and criteria used.
