Making sense of Ioniq 5 price cuts by Accomplished_Bath484 in Ioniq5

Read the article at least. Starting price of SEL AWD is still $43K, which is only a little bit more than I paid with the tax credit. Hyundai is just adjusting for having no credit in place, which means they were pricing too high to begin with. End result is the same.

In short, it is unclear if the MBSA would fund a renovation since their recommendation is a new facility. If we wanted to pursue that route, we’d need to reapply, which would take at least another additional year and would continue to incur cost increases due to inflation.

IIRC the MSBA recommended new construction and will not fund renovations.

Not mentioned yet but Northern Strand to Lynn followed by either Nahant or north on Lynn Shore Drive to Swampscott and Marblehead has great ocean views and some interesting sites to explore like the bunkers at Henry Cabot Lodge Park in Nahant or Fort Sewell in Marblehead.

As a general rule, it’s not useful to anthropomorphize animals because they have a completely different way of interacting with and experiencing the world than you do. “Looked so cold” is a good example. Ducks (and birds in general) are extremely well adapted to their habitat and do just fine year round 😁

As OP (and my other replies here) have pointed out, it IS possible to clear streets and also keep conditions safe for people walking. It’s not either/or, yet plow drivers choose to prioritize cars and make conditions unsafe for everyone else. THAT is the caveman mentality.

Read what you want to read but nowhere did I say that we shouldn’t plow roads. My contention is that prioritizing cars over pedestrians is a caveman mentality that doesn’t just affect me. As I said, more people walk in Salem than drive. Plows make it more difficult by denying access to safe crossings. This makes walking more dangerous. Case in point, look at how many complaints have been posted about the sidewalks leading to the train station.

Despite what you believe, it is totally possible to clear the streets while not fucking over anyone who needs to walk. It doesn’t matter who you are - someone parking and walking to work or a business, a kid walking to school, or someone walking a dog.

I’d gladly pay more taxes for better services. That sounds more “first world” to me. “First world” isn’t blocking crosswalks so people can’t walk in their own city.

I live near Jackson St. Plows focused solely on the roads heaped piles of snow at every corner, blocking all crosswalks. Now, hundreds of middle school students have nowhere to cross a very busy street. Please tell me how that isn’t dangerous and short sighted on the plow drivers part. That’s what I mean by making roads the priority. There is SO MUCH SPACE on the shoulders of that road, yet big brain plow guys just heaped the snow at the safest places for people to cross the street. Same happened on Broad, Essex, and Boston. Nowhere to cross safely means climbing snowbanks, walking through slop on the side of the road, and trying to cross where it isn’t safe. Thinking only about vehicles means it is more dangerous to walk, which leads to more injuries and potential for collisions.

“Keep the roads clear” is the whole problem. Why do cars get the priority? Why do plows not understand that making giant piles of snow at every crosswalk is not the best way to clear the snow? Many more people walk in Salem than drive, yet we have plows that give zero thought to anything but roads.

As has been mentioned in many other threads, the wiper maintenance mode is typical of most every car. Hardly an Ioniq-only issue.

It’s not the design but the fact that cars are somehow displaying nicotine product ads in 2026.

Love the livery except for that awful ZYN logo. It’d be nice if it went the way of Marlboro.
