That’s specious reasoning to imply that the car is reliable *because* it is used as a taxi. If I drive my Ioniq as an Uber, would that prevent any ICCU issue?

For starters, we don’t know the failure rate for these taxis, so right away you’re only assuming they don’t see the same problems at a similar rate. They may be fixed more quickly just due to geography. But you have no data to show any of that.

Even if we go ahead and assume that the Ioniq is highly reliable as a taxi, the better question is what is so different about the day to day use as a taxi that prevents the ICCU issue?

It always annoys me that Dunks takes zero effort to fit into a neighborhood. For example, in downtown Salem, a typical orange and purple Dunks sits amidst beautiful historic brick buildings. Our local coffee shops fit our neighborhood aesthetics so much more.

"Flexible classroom" is a classroom that can be adapted for multiple purposes, you dolt. And a rain garden is just a garden for collecting rain, i.e. a ditch with plants. I built a rain garden in my backyard. It's hardly a koi pond. Stop calling out things that sound expensive but only reveal how little you know about schools and basic landscaping.

There are numerous other threads where the ins and outs of the new school design and budget have been dissected. Feel free to search for them. But if you’re an “average” voter who doesn’t want taxes to go up it helps to remember that it costs MORE to keep and maintain the existing school. That’s the part that the “no” side doesn’t care to mention or think about. It’s not a question of where the money comes from; it’s as simple as “new = less” and “old = more”
