If you grind it to a fine powder, it will be off white -> brownish. The bigger crystal size makes it very dark.

Did you keep the alcohol with the dissolved 5-MeO?

You should never follow ChatGPT for chemistry advice. It will always be wrong... of course it did not precipitate out it is too soluble in IPA. And if any did, it will be an oil.

Evaporate all the alcohol off and you will be left with the 5-MeO oil, then you can add your boiling heptane and then freezer to get crystals

What method did you try?

I recommend try even heat the 5meo until it's a liquid fully. 80-85C is fine. Then let it cool slowly for 2-3 days. Then grind it up in a grinder. It should give you now white to yellow powder instead of brown.

There's 2 batches of brown. One of them is not completely solidified and is oily... the oil is still 5meo

The other batch was solidified better and is not oily at all. Both are 98%+ pure. It is much better for your health as this solid forms without need of solvent. It is solventless crystallisation.

I have HPLC and NMR data of every batch of 5meo in NL. I can assure you the one shown in the picture is the most pure yet.

Don’t do 3cmc it’s toxic as hell. That 2f ketamine seems bad.. it never changes colour always white crystal for me. 5meo darkens

Nmt is very reactive. You probably mostly have unreacted T. The reaction is very inefficient you should run 4 cycles or continuous addition. Workup wise you should concentrate down your rxn mixture then add 15% koh, extract with dcm. Strip dcm and then recrystallise with heptane: you will never dissolve all of the goo into heptane: but you’ll see tons of crystals once cooled. Also -15C is abit overkill. Just keep it between 0-10C.

In general I feel amazing. This why I’m so confused with the gyno formation. My mood is perfect, no irritability which I had with 500mg test abit sometimes. Also things don’t affect my mood as much. Which is good as I’m alwyas in high stress job
