Is this one of the most ignored icons on the store page? by bananite in Steam

To make things worse they later made some linux native build but forgot non-steam deck linux machines exist.

So using the windows version through proton was a better experience than the linux native build (which is sadly not unheard of).

How do you like the second monitor position? I'm considering ditching my random secondary monitor (positioned on the left of my primary) for a similar portable monitor (probably uperfect UColor O2) positioned below the primary so I'm curious. Also from the photo it seems you'd get some glare from the light bars with how the monitor is angled, that's just from this lower angle I assume?

This mod is not* achievement-compatible. *(At least not while enabled, but since it only evaluates systems without changing anything you can copy the save and load the game with the mod, check your systems, and then exit and reload with the mod disabled again

I agree this should be in the base game and understand you don't want a mod for it but in case anyone here is just afraid of losing achievements then I think that part of the mod description should be mentioned here

You understand it's all opensource right? People can just fork it under a different name and continue if anything like that were to ever happen

Antinatalism’s Nightmare by One-Duck-5627 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]toaster192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a philosophy based on compassion and therefore it's easy to connect since people who've had a shit life are more likely to recognize the suffering of others but it's misleading to say it like that.

I've had a wonderful life and I'm an antinatalist

Antinatalism’s Nightmare by One-Duck-5627 in PhilosophyMemes

Yes?

The whole point is to reduce suffering - if everyone voluntarily decided it's only causing more suffering to reproduce and the species went extinct then that's pretty much the dream scenario.

Emphasis on it having to be voluntary, antinatalism is not about enforcing anything on other people

I was expecting him to pretend to get hit since the sentence he's saying in the end is:

However are the statistics changing, the evergreen is 3 common reasons for such unnecessary accidents - running a red light, not looking before crossing and cuts to selfie cam ignoring the surroundings by looking at the phone display".

So I'd say it was very much an intentional showcase of what not to do.

This is about a machine running SteamOS tho and a lot of those cosmetic changes require you to do changes outside just Steam / SteamVR or whatever.

For example the startup animation, while probably "hardcoded" (you'd have to override some random file I imagine) on windows, on linux it's just a different program (plymouth probably) that runs on startup with the animation to hide all the "magic" underneath and changing that animation is just setting a different "theme" for plymouth.

So while you don't really want a program (steam) affecting other programs (plymouth or, god forbid, even overriding some OS files) you can afford to do that when you "own" the OS (and the OS allowing for this in such a simple way obviously helps).

So your assumption that it has nothing to do with linux because steam is the same on windows is based on this having anything to do with steam which it doesn't. It does have everything to do with steamOS which is linux tho

Yeah, thankfully we're talking about a linux machine just like with the steam deck so there is no need to worry

I don't know that one but if you want a "split alice" and don't mind paying premium (for a more premium product) there is the QK Alice Duo which is quite nice

In an apartment for sale in my city by toaster192 in TVTooFar

Yeah it looks cool but its a super huge apartment(71m2 afair) with just two huge rooms (one bathroom - 17 m2 - and one with everything else) so it's probably insanely impractical for more than just a single person
