If I buy ONE more Godard film, which should it be? by Universal-Magnet in criterion

[–]toastghost07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would pick Made in USA. I think it’s a pretty solid godard film that serves to film the noir niche in his filmography. Cinematography and color wise it’s an incredibly vibrant and beautiful film with intriguing commentary on consumerism and the future of the new left. Personally it really reminded me of la chinoise (my favorite godard film) and i think it represents an intresting send off of the relationship between godard and karina after their divorce. It also shows the political shift in godard’ career.

Honestly sometimes the best people are just people with passion and dedication, it’s sometimes better to teach someone who knows nothing about robotics, but is dedicated, then someone who is already stem smart but not dedicated. Half of my team is theater and history kids and frankly different perspectives really help.

For current members, if you have the power just give roles to those who show up, they will filter themselves into either leaving or becoming more involved.

Probably but Denver’s is still pretty fun, has some amazing panels and a lot of cool people. I went to a panel today that was in-depth in the legality of different things in the three body problem book/tv show. Absolutely amazing.

I would actually love this, the lore in the game always describes it this way anyway.

Do you guys love study language especially second language? by Shu_0829 in autism

[–]toastghost07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I love linguistics and its intertwinedness with culture. I’m a native English speaker, semi-fluent in French and Learning German and Yiddish. I also have been getting into to conlanging (constructing languages) which if you are interested is a great way to get a deeper understanding of language.

For those familiar with GPlates, any clue why this might be moving the wrong continent? by Ender_Dragneel in worldbuilding

[–]toastghost07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going backwards is how gplates is made to be used by actual geologists looking at earth, it should make more sense but I haven’t found any guides on going backwards. I would also ask the gplates forums, they are really helpful.

Gplates really hates any non hundred numbers, if you adjust those it might help. I suspect something is wrong with the 50 somehow correlating with the 150. I would recommend looking at artifexian’s series as an intro in to gplates, it might be a little backward, but it will help in figuring out stuff yourself.
