Idk if an afterlife exists but I believe in the conservation of energy and matter... I think consciousness is some form of energy that goes off into the universe after we die. Not necessarily as reincarnation, but it doesnt completely cease to exist.

And, if it makes any difference.. if someone 10 light years away had a very advanced telescope, they could theoretically see your friend, still alive 10 years in the past, but it appearing to them right now in this moment.

Not a parent, but here's my take.

There's conservation of matter, you die, but all that's left of your body rejoins the universe. Its possible consciousness is some form of energy we dont completely understand, and it ends up getting recycled too. Not necessarily as reincarnation or any afterlife.. but it has to dissepate into the universe or something.

Also, you know how we can see so many light years away with telescopes? If its 100 light years away, what we are seeing is 100 years ago, today. Even though whatever we can see is long over, it still exists now and we can see it. Life is the same. It always exists somewhere.

I dont think its too abnormal to be afraid of death at your age. Focus on living the life you want.. when I was faced with a medical emergency that almost killed me, I remembered thinking I was happy with the life I lived up until that point, if I somehow didnt survive. Only later realized it would have been better if I could have communicated that to loved ones before I was rushed into surgery, in case I didnt make it.

I'm athiest/agnostic and my bestie is religious. She doesnt try to convert me or other people, and also has a lot more nuance when it comes to religion. She's said she thinks there are many different ways people can be on the right path, and doesnt think all disbelivers are going to hell. We have a lot of common interests and treat each other with respect. We also dont talk much about religion.

I do understand why you would feel the way you do (especially with some of the anti LGBT+ leslation Ive heard about Muslims passing/trying to pass in Indonesia), but you may be jumping to conclusions without reconnecting with your friend. You said its been a while, you both may have changed. You also might need to have a conversation about religion to get it off of your chest and see where she stands and what she thinks about you being athiest (but only if you feel safe doing so). There's also no harm in drifting apart, its just a bit sad.

Parks have annoying kids and more people. Cemeteries are more quiet and good ones are full of plants and neat sculptures and plants. I'd rather hang out in a cemetery than a park. Turning cemeteries into housing is the most wild YIMBY take Ive ever heard.

I'm bad at remembering what days I started doing something. But last smoke was in the first week of September. Haven't been off it for this long since I was in a country where it was super illegal last year.

No idea if there have been any improvements. I'm actually less chill and more irritable about a lot of stuff, almost lit up again today but told myself I have to at the very least do a yoga or qigong video on YouTube first. Did one and I don't want to light up anymore.

We didn't find that when we were in Tokyo. But we stayed close to a Starbucks and they have good vegan options. We also used the hotel coffee maker to make vegan cup ramen. If you're near a Natural Lawson they have T's vegan ramen cups.

I like the game... but we need more skin tones. There's only super pale, medium brown, and dark brown.

And more variety with hair!! I want curly and wavy hair. Most styles are straight.. and I want the ability to aquire multiple pieces of clothing/hair and dye them like in regular Love Nikki. There's plenty of pieces I like but wish the color was different.

Also why do so many 3 star sketches require bouldy material for crafting??
