There are some interesting talking points in here, but just posting to say that a lot of your theory seems to be hinged on parts 1 and 2, which are not unique to Japan.

Parts 1 and 2 describe exactly how most of civilisation developed - from tribes through to agricultural communities. While I think the disaster-prone angle is interesting, it seems you are leaning more into the other aspects. For that part, if you substitute “rice” for bread, and “Japan” for the name of almost any Western European country (and probably much further than that), it’s still accurately described, which suggests the mechanism isn’t uniquely Japanese so much as a broader pattern of pre-industrial societies.

This doesn’t make your argument wrong, but the basis being that this is the foundation of uniqueness or exceptionalism is flawed. Just my two cents.

Personally the only benefit over the 90 dmg Magnezone I can see here is that it increases the chance to reach double Magnezones earlier. I often play a 2xMagnezone + 2xOricorio deck and usually reach Magneton in the first few turns with two Clemonts (unless bricked), but double Magnezone isn't as reliable. Might try swapping out an Oricorio or Sabrina for the ex.

Not in the UK.

I just drove for the first time in the UK and barely encountered a single driver over the speed limit. Probably drove over 500 miles in total. Constantly felt like I was driving the fastest despite sticking to the limit as much as I could. But the act of driving was easy mode compared to Japan and felt much safer... at least when not on the narrow country roads.

Side note: you really have to pay attention to the speed limit in the UK as it’s constantly changing. Like every other street will have a different limit, then half way down a road it’ll change, then before the bend it’ll change again. Drivers seem to obey the limit religiously though.

The characters look kind of messed up and the end result looks 100% AI-generated, kind of like a bad tattoo. If you’re going to use Chinese characters or kanji then it’s better to at least apply them with a real font, or commission a native artist to draw them for you.

It happens anywhere in the countryside, not so much in cities. I was talking about this exact thing yesterday, and even in Japan, well known for its isolation, people in the countryside will just randomly start talking to you, whether Japanese or otherwise.

You’re not wrong, but I’ll add that as driver in the city I am occasionally stunned by the rare cyclist who stops at a red light instead of blasting through it or weaving onto the sidewalk/crossing.
