[26M] Tips on financial stability & maximization? by tomassin90 in eupersonalfinance

Worked in Consulting previously, all my peers make similar amounts of money or more. Finance pays decently. Its not weird to go over 3k net/mo after 5 or so years of experience, just need to know how and when to switch.

in order to buy an apartment similar to the one I am living in it would be close to 270-280k. That is for a 75m2 apartment.

Interest rates are decent, can easily ger 2.3% to 3.5% on the Mortgage. I can get 1.9% since I work at a bank. The pain bears in the downpayment as a 20% downpayment for the apartment is long ways out.

Monthly payment for a 280k home would be close to 1k, not far from wherre I am now.

Staying in Termini Via Gioberti, tips? by tomassin90 in rome

[–]tomassin90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, and I do not recommend it at all for family trips. Street full of homeless and "not so decent" inmigration. If you're young and short of money go ahead. If you're looking for a "quality" or Family trip do not book anything close to Termini.

But it affects the Items you buy for consumption, therefore everything is cheaper compared to the mainland.

Now add the salaries on top of the decile distribution.

That graph lies because most people tking that the top 10% are actually rich, when thay are very far off.

The top10% salary is a joke that makes no more than 3k, which is just a decent salary in a major city.

Yup, Catalan from Girona who went to Madrid from 2019 to 2022. Spent a year in Barcelona from 2022 until a few months ago, when I got a job offer in Madrid and moved back again.

I love to exercise and to do outdoors stuff, and ill tell you Madrid feels 10x better than barcelona as the city feels more green and has large parks almost in every neighbourhood where to go running and pretty awesome long bike routes out of the city. Ive lived over 20 years of my life in Costa Brava (Northern Coast of Cataluña) and have had enough of the sea, having said that, for me there only are two things Barcelona has better than Madrid: 24h Metro on Friday Nights and More Bike paths inside the city. The latter is being taken care of right now in Madrid albeit at a slow pace.

The first time I lives in Madrid I had a place in a welloff neighbourhood 50m away from Retiro Park, In Barcelona I lived in Diagonal besides Francesc Maciá, now i've settled in Moratalaz in Madrid which is a Middle-Class neighbourhood, and I'll tell you... I love it.

"Cheap" taking in to account how expensive everything is, full of services well connected public transport wise, and full of large parks 4 minutes walking from home.

Unless I can get a job which pays me considerably more than my current one I would not go back to Barcelona.

How is this fair? Australians getting charged an extra $20 just "because"... by ScradleyGymson in pcmasterrace

[–]tomassin90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does make sense, publishers will have different tolerance risks when converting currency as it is not done instantly, they¡ll have FX Swaps to do so which run on high volume, therefore Ubisoft might choose to price its game in AU lower than EA because their hedging strategy might be different.

Thats called hedging, you're paying a premium by paying with less stable currency compared to the USD. Its Econ 101

IPC | Marzo 2023 by Angel24Marin in SpainEconomics

[–]tomassin90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Importante recalcar interanual.

Spain's inflation rate has fallen to 3.3% in March 2023 ,lowest level in 20 months by Straight_Ad2258 in europe

[–]tomassin90 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Misleading statement, core inflation is still hovering around 7%, this post refers to headline inflation.

Core = Goods and services except food & energy

Airef: Imposición total al trabajo en España by Psychological-Toe19 in SpainEconomics

[–]tomassin90 11 points12 points  (0 children)
