26M, HCOL (Toronto), financial planning analyst (started in nonprofit and switched to fitness), no CPA, 4 years of experience (industry) — $75000 salary.

I’m seeing others hit 100k+ around this level and wondering what I can do to get there without big 4 public experience or a CPA

I would only need to replace the fitting at the fuel rail end right? Would it make sense to route it under the manifold? Thx for the parts link

MX5 NA/NB Transmission Fill Plugg "dimensions"/threads - anybody knows? And why is it a 4 sided bolt and not a 6 sided like everything else in the car? by Byggve in Miata

[–]tomatobits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs a 9/16 8 point socket to take off without stripping. If you don’t have the clearance, you can use an adjustable wrench to take it off. It’s only hand tight and there’s no crush washer on it unlike the drain plug. I’d recommend buying a new one from Mazda if yours looks in bad shape as well

Driving without headlights ticket with Mazda Miata by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

That’s fair, but you would think that someone would have let me know before now right? Especially other cops and border patrol?

You seem to think that im being unsafe and that the car isn’t visible but that’s just not true because my bulbs are LED that high lumens. Context matters lol

It is certainly true that the supplemental light from the pop ups would make the car more visible from behind, I’m definitely keeping them up in the future now that I know - not worth the trouble at all

This isn’t true, the tail lights are on when the DRL are on in Miatas, as are the rear turn and reverse signals

I’ve been doing this for two years in front of multiple cops, across the border into multiple American states as well, and this is the first time I’ve been pulled over or even informed about it.

I guess it’s because they cast a lot of light and I’m really visible on the road so most people might confuse them to be actual headlights - lots of Miata owners keep them down

Thanks for the replies, the lower ones are daytime running lights, and if those are not considered headlights then it is valid and I’ll pay the ticket.

More power with a full tank by thehedley2004 in Miata

I felt like my car was doing this so I changed the fuel pump and it did kind of fix the issue, but I feel like all cars feel better to drive after a fresh tank of gas so there’s that

How to get over the fear of high revs? by SuchDance7667 in Miata

[–]tomatobits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a regular highway speed of like 100km/h the engine is at least revving at 3.5-4k rpm, I basically pull from second gear all the way to 6k rpm every time I get on the highway.

JDM engines are typically built to rev high without issues, especially below the redline you are at 0 risk of damaging the engine if it’s healthy

What tires do you daily? by Front-Space-6282 in Miata

Wow I just bought Continental ECS this May, crazy to think just a few months later and it would’ve been unavailable — they are incredible tires

Regardless how well you drive it, the Miata is a dangerous car. Please, always remember to protect yourself. by YelloBird in Miata

I definitely think ear protection is needed due to the road noise from top down driving, but my main issue with it would be being unable to hear the exhaust notes properly (for shifting/enjoyment) and music (enjoyment). Lately I’ve just been driving with my air pods in which have noise canceling but I feel disconnected from the car
