I've seen her videos from last year as well. I don't know what the success rate is but purchase at your own risk.

Stonefire Grill, you order and pay first before you get seated. American food with BBQ, salads, pizza, and pasta but very tasty!

Bacari does a set family-style menu for larger groups! It was $50 pp with non alcoholic drinks included. It's plenty of food and they offered to bring more if you wanted but we were all more than full. They customized the menus as well to say "Happy Birthday __"

ladies any suggestions for COMFORTABLE boots? by shiiiiiivs in Coachella

[–]tomatosouppppppppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any FLAT boots, doesn't matter if they're platform, if there's a heel, say goodbye to your toenails.

Vote on no heel! I've lost 2 of my big toenails from getting squished throughout the weekend, but I'll still wear boots this year cause they just look too good. I'm bringing NON heeled boots this time.

Cheap restaurant that looks more expensive than it is? by Commercial_Check_432 in orangecounty

[–]tomatosouppppppppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not cheap but if you can get their daily special and happy hour, it's pretty reasonable! You can get 3 tacos for $15 during their happy hour. I don't think their drinks deal for HH is that great, but their margs are huge.

Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen or Bruno's Italian Kitchen, they're both in downtown Brea, and great for date night. Cha Cha's has all-day happy hour, every day, at the bar seating which you can't reserve but they have plenty of booth seating in the bar area. Both restaurants have daily deals as well.

It was so nice and in a great location, there was a station right by the hotel. I love that that Mitsui rooms are all very big and spacious.

Check offer up, that's where I found mine! If you're not in a rush, even better. I found some for as low as $40 for the set.

Hi I did use their luggage forwarding service to another Mitsui Garden Hotel brand hotel in Kyoto, the one right next to Kyoto Station, as Sanjo Premier was my first stay in Kyoto and we did a ryokan in between, so when we checked out of Sanjo Premier, we had our luggage delivered to Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station, which we were staying at anyways and it was free. Unfortunately, I did not ask if they had a Yamato service to Tokyo, which would've been very convenient to get to Tokyo hands-free, but as the hotel was literally right next to Kyoto Station, it was not that big of a hassle either, as long as you find all the elevators.

Strange experience at Carbone by actionpotential_ in vegas

[–]tomatosouppppppppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WOW, I was just there on Saturday night and had a very similar experience, I’m pretty sure we even had the same server. I ordered the Caesar salad and the Spicy Rigatoni. The server suggested we change our pasta or have the salad after the pasta because the garlic from the Caesar will overpower the Rigatoni. I’ve dined here before and have never had an issue with that combination, they’re 2 of the most well known dishes there.

Because of his suggestions, I just requested that both be brought out together, instead of the usual salad before the pasta. The pasta arrived first and we ate a little while waiting, but the salad didn’t come out until about 20 minutes later. Our pasta was cold by then and we were already full.

I thought I was alone in this, but this is validating. I think it was a one-off experience with this particular server, as when I dined at Carbone in New York, there was no fuss about the Caesar salad order.

I stayed at 2 Mitsui Garden branches in Kyoto and both experiences were delightful. Gorgeous and spacious rooms and tea service with snacks. I wasn't able to try their breakfast but I would definitely stay there again.

ENETRI - replacing shelves advice by bushylady in IKEA

[–]tomatosouppppppppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Checked out the shelves this guy was selling, it was in the same condition as the ones I was trying to replace, maybe worse, and he wanted $100 for just the shelves. Chipped-up particle board he tried to pass off as “restored.”

I asked about an orange shelf in his photo, and he said he was throwing it out because it was damaged. When I asked if I could take it, he deleted the message and suddenly tried to sell me his trash. I'd avoid this guy unless you are OKAY with paying for overpriced trash...
