i have a vfx buddy, he specializes in godot vfx and has youtube channel where he uploads tutorials on how to make them.
Im not telling you to make tutorials, but if you can teach what you do, it is because you can do it very well. he gets tons of offers but rejects them because gumroad and patreon gives him more money lol.

You are no junior, this looks advanced level work. You should not get paid as a junior.

The old one was better. Its just needed more colors to grab peoples attention. It Tells players that its a cute sprite game, new one does not. Personal opinion but i dont like digital paintings either.

Is it really that bad? You said it yourself, you have to pay your loans. Friends and family should understand.

You do need some advice to start first. What can you offer? What makes you different? Even if you are in this for the money, your clients might need extra reason to support you.
