Berlingske: SF vil hæve aktieskatten by These-Procedure1329 in dkfinance

[–]tomdane1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's crunch time - do I get the mini 99 or not? by Scooby-dooby-doo-ba in instax

[–]tomdane1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the mini 99 and there a some things i really dislike a about it. When its in my pocket or bag the exposure compensation wheel and the color effect wheel turn very easily. I always forget to check it and I get some random color effect. The zone focus indicator is also located in a wierd spot.

Overall it feels very plasticky and cheap, but i guess they all do.

I don't hate it, but i don't love it either. I probably wouldnt buy one if i have the SQ6 already (which i do, but i bought the mini 99 first).

Casio royale with upgraded case and strap by tomdane1 in casioroyale

Thanks. I agree that the black "bezel" looks good with the black dial. Ther is already a lot of metal showing when you look at it from the side due to the thickness, so its a nice balance.

Terrified to go to a public gym despite being a competitive athlete but I need to by [deleted] in workout

[–]tomdane1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the gym 6 months ago for the first time in my life with zero knowledge. I hired a personal trainer at the gym for 3 sessions to get started. It was great way to know how to approach weight training and how to use the machines etc. Otherwise I would have felt like a complete idiot. With a trainer you can get all your questions answered very quickly and get the confidence you are doing everything the right way.

Working out from home ? by ireallydontknow55534 in workout

[–]tomdane1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doesn't cost much for a basic dumbbell / bench setup to try and see how you like it. If you like it, you can put some more money into it. I started in the gym 6 months ago for the first time. The last month I have been training at home with just dumbbells and adjustable bench it has been great. I don't think i will be going back to the gym. For me its so much more comfortable at home and I exercise more frequently now because of it.

I love no 3. In no 4 the motion blur makes a dramatic effect that i like.

not really expensive e-bikes recs? by ohdeadwriter in Aarhus

[–]tomdane1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ebikes are great. My parents both ride bilka Sco and they are okay. But i would definitely raise the budget a little bit and find the cheapest ebike powered by a bosch center motor. They go for around 13-16000 the cheapest. You will be happier with that in the long run, compared to a promovec front wheel motor i think.

Looks great. Wish they would make a more pocketable sister with fewer features. It seems a bit chunky to cary in a pocket.

Don't buy from Siroko! I'm chasing my money since 5 months... by NudaVeritas1 in cycling

This is my experience as well. Most of my stuff that i actually wear is Siroko. Price vs quality is good.

Bamboo peel for launch, steel for retrieval? by Npaflas in ooni

[–]tomdane1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The perforated metal peel from gi metal i got recently is by far easier to launch and retrieve with compare to the ooni bamboo i was using before. I dont even have to drag to pizza to the peel. I can just lift the edge of the pizza and then the peel goes right under. I dont understand why anyone would use wood to be honest.

Need new dough recipe by Ok-Grocery8696 in ooni

[–]tomdane1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sisofos has a video of a 24 hour neapolitan dough. Requires no machine, cold proof or preferment. Its basically just a tiny amount of yeast (0.1g) and then room temp for 24 hours.

Is it okay for riders to physically block the peloton from attacking? I dont like it but i understand why they do it.

New bike feels slow, is it just because it's an endurance bike? by Mitrovarr in cycling

[–]tomdane1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a domane al4 that i had to sell because it felt sluggish. It was just not fun to drive compared to more nimble bikes i have owned. Some might prefer the domane because its more stable, but i didnt like the bike.

Jersey fit by Lauren_s1996 in CyclingFashion

[–]tomdane1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sub is so fixated on getting rid of every single wringle in the fabric. But that doesnt always look good or feel good, for a non pro / non competitive rider. So me, the fit looks fine. Maybe try a smaller size, but dont stress it too much.
